Ex-NJ Lab Workers Sentenced In $100M Bribery Scheme

Law360 (May 17, 2018, 8:17 PM EDT) -- Four former sales employees of a blood testing lab were slammed with prison sentences and another ex-salesman received probation Thursday in New Jersey federal court for taking part in a bribery scheme that netted more than $100 million in Medicare and private insurance dollars for the business.

Doug Hurley, Kevin Kerekes, Luke Chicco and Kristina Hamdan received prison terms ranging from 21 to 41 months, and David McCann was sentenced to three years’ probation for bribing doctors in exchange for them referring patients' blood specimens to.
