    MM seems to get it.

His words made sense at the meeting I was in.

He really seems to understand the problem with IBM/outsourcing around here and the moral issue it has caused.

Now to see if actions match the words or not. Can't happen fast enough.

Murph is pushing for us. He wants no part if IBM outsourcing. Now that Berce is gone the pressure is off.

Mark is a stand-up type of guy who had a stellar reputation at St. Jude.
I too am impressed with his direction and plans for the future.
Too bad I'm planning to retire before year end, the rest of you are in good hands though!

He seems to be a very stand up guy and said a lot of good things in the meeting.

Still a lot of NB underlings to wade through, all ready to tear others down to try and make themselves look better. To many are loyal to IBM since they were hired from IBM prior to Abbott.

MM has been saying some encouraging things in meetings: challenge is, will he be gusty enough to remove long under-performing IT DVPs, especially in BUILD and RUN. He has already back-tracked on at least two bold decisions he made for a couple of critical projects - looks like LM has bullied him into submission already.

At this rate, MM will barely be 50% effective (still notably better than NM who was < 25% effective).

He appears to lack stature to execute at the CIO level - but then, form is less important than function ... time will tell

LM a.k.a. "the frog" was a Carlton Schooley implant. Hopefully she follows NB down the drain.

MM should not be focused on curbing travel of the rank and file while the senior leadership continues to fly around the world in first class.

Pro tip: If you want to see improved results and a better view of the IT organization send the people who actually complete the projects to the location. And do not ever rely on Wipro to complete them.

Wouldn't that be nice!! Between LM, All the directors, and 'senior' managers NB has hired we have about nine managers for every Abbott worker in BSS run/build.

Be REAL nice if MM would do a purge of those useless people.

Murphy is the best. He has a great track record. Get ready to say goodbye to Wipro, Cognizant and IBM soon. Good old days are about to come back at Abbott.

In your dreams. The curry kitchen is here to stay!

Correct. Especially since half our 'management' has been hired from IBM/cognizant over the last several years and their loyalty still lies with making those companies money and getting under the table payola for doing it.

so will the frog soon CROAK? Seriously LM is a leader of limited ability, high insecurity, very turf-protective; if she and her hand-picked ineffective band 22/23 gang are moved out, that alone would get us moving in a positive direction. Then of course TF and his useless team should be fired soon.

No I've never really been the smartest
    Yeah I've made my mistakes
    My mistakes
You were there when times were at their darkest
    Always showing me the way
    Lead the way
Your love seems to cut me deep, the sharpest
You'll always have a part of me
    A part of me
Losing you has always been the hardest
I wish it were the old days (oh I wish it were the old days)

    Because I'm 18
And I still live with my parents
    Yeah they're not like yours
    Well yours are more understanding
    I've never fell in love
I've saved those feelings for you
So let's do all the stupid shit that young kids do
    It's me and you, you
    Just me and you
Let's do all the stupid shit that young kids do

    No silver or no gold
Could dress me up so good
You're the glitter in the darkness of my world
Just tell me what to do
    I'll fall right into you
Going under, cast a spell, just say the word
    I feel your love
