Sun Pharma and UCB seems to be the EXIT STRATEGY that most have / are taking. Who has left so far in 2018 (I'm hearing the most respected, best and tenured reps have left)?

Zero Executive level reps , zero Senior Specialty reps...nope, no Madter’s Club reps either. Maybe we lost 3 really great reps at best! Good people but the best, no.

UCB is offering salaries of $125,000 - $140,000. Tough to pass that up considering Leo salaries are the lowest in this space. Tough product to sell though as it is an old dog that got a new indication....

Absolutely!! Most people are getting more money, but some are leaving if they feel like there is no more upward growth for their career. If you've gone as high as you can go with LEO, you might as well take the money and get the biologic experience...

I'd classify them as tenured, and good reps. I can't speak to how well-respected they were, but LEO needs to understand you have to find new, unique ways to keep your tenured reps who have done well, and done it consistently! Can't treat every rep the same. Some people have just earned more respect and clout based on their time with LEO...But that's just me. Break out the cookie cutter..

Senior, Master does not mean much and its just a title Some of these so called Senior, Master reps have baseline of 10 rx per week, are you impressed by that? Look at some of the Pride winner from 2017, some of their base line is 5 rx per week.

“Just a title” said the specialty sales representative who never got promoted. They are titles based on performance with very specific criteria all involving sales. It would make sense that a title means nothing to someone who didn’t earn one, other than the title they were given. Don’t believe a post on cafepharma, ask an Executive level rep what they did to get their title.

I agree with both posts. Neither one is absolutely correct, this IC plan and how they measure Pride rankings is broken. Reward the top volume producers every year, they drive the business. That should motivate smaller volume territory reps to grow more business, and do it faster to compete for Pride, and make the top payouts.

On one hand if you put in the work and eclipse certain parameters, you can go from specialty to professional, to senior and then executive, but like the above post stated, if your a pro or senior rep with goals of 5-18 scripts a week, that's not the same as someone with 30-40+ a week. Pride winners should strictly be about who has the most combined volume for E and P. That's it.

No kidding. The rewards system here is all messed up. That goof in Utah had a Q1baseline of 3 Enstilar and 2 Picato. Last year he had many weeklies in which he didn’t even get a single script!! Now he is well on his way to be “rep of the year.” Nothing like rewarding the territory with the worst Enstilar launch! Nice job Alex. Well done!

Well said! With the mess Alex D made with the crappy IC plan and metrics used to measure it, coupled with the fact that reps are openly frustrated and leaving the company, lets see if the ELT has the courage to admit it was a mistake and correct it for the start of Q3....

Correct. History is certainly repeating itself at LEO with every leadership change they have.....can't seem to get out of their own way. Layoffs will be coming next month!!

Haha! No kidding! Bayer people are gone 2nd week of January and about 10% of current LEO rep positions along with 1 DM position will be eliminated. The fact that we have 6-8 open sales reps jobs right now are going to “lessen the blow” in terms of overall lay-off number. Anyone in a low volume territory should be concerned, like that guy up in Rochester who makes more money in bonus than he brings into the company.... What a joke!

Have fun watching your reps who bring in the high volume leave the company...

NO KIDDING! But hey, it sounds like the 2019 IC plan will be similar to what it was this year, with a couple tweaks....We all know LEO is gonna screw up the launch of Tralo, right??
