  1. How many more failures will he be allowed to preside over? 2mg and not 4mg? Can anyone count and do basic statistics? How will we sell a drug that doesn’t differentiate at 2mg?

he is a weak leader. His day is coming. He won’t survive anywhere else. He is useless.

Mr Salzmann needs to be held accountable for this F-up!

Pete is a great guy. Found him to be very pleasant and intense leader.

Like individual Territory goals, thank you Pete S! It’s about time we get credit and are held accountable for what we do and stop these idiotic District goals where do-nothings hide behind work horses. They should also focus less on “behaviors” since it is all subjective bs and promotes a cut throat climate. If reps have the right behaviors their numbers will follow so let’s get back to being evaluated on what we are paid to do and that is increasing use of our products!

Yes, if reps have the right behaviors ( lying, cheating, stealing, etc. ) the number$ will follow. My new Conrad condo mansion is counting on it.

Saltzman is a lightweight. A Dr who fancies himself as proficient in business. Helped preside over the demise of Forteo, and is totally out of his element as a Division leader.

Clueless, but is a classic case of someone who couldn't get a date unless he had some position, which he does, which explains his penchant for promoting equally clueless, but sometimes hot reps.

Previous poster is spot on. Pete is soft. He cowers to leaders above. He projects confidence but is deeply insecure. This is why he favors useless hot reps. They manipulate him. When he was a district sales manager, the team went to HR on him. They were dead last in the nation. Then he got promoted.

This is a set up. Prediction: You know who is aggressively trying to make PS look bad so SHE will be given his spot. This is how things work at Lilly. You read it here first.

PS is laughing all the way to the bank! Not sure how he got to be a VP but he did get there. Working in his division is a nightmare, he would never say anything about you to your face but then at the end of the year he would have his direct reports deliver bad performance news out of the blue. He is afraid of confrontation but he doesn't care what others think, only his boss.

Adg doesn’t need to do much to make him look bad- he is doing a great job on his own- forteo down q417 and q118. That wasn’t supposed to happen. Bari didn’t get the 4mg nod- not supposed to happen and ps did nothing but burn 12 months waiting for the bad news. And if that isn’t enough, taltz is losing to a far inferior drug, not supposed to happen. All told, probably over 100 million loss in q1 due to bad leadership and decisions on ps behalf.

I wouldn’t advocate for Pete, but he has nothing to do with dosing. He is not accountable for that issue...that is a global development issue, not US VP.

So you are telling me that the person who has the most at stake and responsibility with the largest potential market has no influence? Please- were it not for the US market there would be no reason to develop drugs for the world. Of course he had and has influence on the process.

Does anyone remember when PS was a DSM and finished dead last? Then he got promoted.
