My career is an all day lie, a true fictional account of my time. Each day my calls are at a minimum 75% fake. The only call that is ever actually made is when I do a lunch. Even then it’s a self serving exercise. I do the lunch so I don’t have to fork out 10 bucks for my own lunch, I can bring something home to the fam and I have a nice collection of restaurant gift cards. It also keeps me around so that when my creaton of a manager works with me, people do know who I am.

There was a time when I actually cared and put some effort into this mind numbing futile existence. The organization has fostered such an incredibly douche culture that I do not give a fuck about this company. I realize the feelings are mutual but at least we are operating on the same page. I simply decided a few years ago that I will fuck them over before they fuck me.

So I drive around running errands and wasting time all day every day inputting fake calls. I’ve been doing this for going on 3 years and nobody really cares. Has made no difference in sales for the territory, idiot manager has no clue and I still collect over 100K.

I’ve even picked up little 1099 gig on the side 2 years ago. I put all the money from that in a separate account and so far I’ve got almost 21K sitting there. It’s not big bucks but this company pays all my travel expenses associated with it so it’s just going to retirement account.

All you moral police people, I, telling you before you bother to respond and tell me how I should not do such bad things, just know I'm not the only one here in the S.E. doing it.

 

How do you know we have a CIA agreement

 

Of course we have a CIA. It’s why we can’t do dick anymore with the NSC and patient follow up. Explains a lot.

 

I hope you realize that companies can pay to figure out who posts what.

 

Silly rabbit! Uh, no they can't amigo. CafePharma doesn't log IP addresses, never have and never will. If ever one person who posted on CP was somehow discovered, and their company fired them for it, then when word spread about what happened , CP would cease to exist.

No amigo, it pisses you off because you KNOW you can't find out the identity of CP posters, because you live in your little deluded world thinking Lundbeck employees view working here as nothing but sunshine and rainbows. Working here is just another job, nothing more. It was almost cult-like in the beginning with everyone being so excited about working here. That's gone. Many good people have left for good reasons. The culture we had in the beginning is gone, partly because of the fact that everyone knows that we have nothing coming in the next few years of real value, and management doesn't know where to turn. We can't even find a decent CEO!

It will all blow by or shortly after the first of the year. Upper management needs to recombine Alpha with Gamma and Beta. This would do away with the 6 or 7 person districts.Trump will hit brand name pharma with his drug plan. Sales of Trintellix and Rexulti will probably start to see more sales drops each quarter. Onfi will be gone (our #! seller!), and Northera is doomed too. That leaves only with 3 me-too's, and a pipeline that is almost non-existent.

No amigo, the truth hurts, and this is the only place we can discuss what is really happening because you sure can't do it with a Lundbeck survey!

I left this place awhile ago when yet another sales force was added. Think about how the starfish has died.
Do we educate our doctors: NO
Do we bring value to our doctors: NO (samples don't count since they can be mailed)
Do we actually sell to our doctors: NO (managed care dictates what they write)
Do we badger our doctors and beg for scripts: YES

So looking back at my time in the industry as going from important player to sham, I ask you Kool Aid drinkers: why should ANY doctor see us. Maybe at a lunch if there is new info but what good is being done for the patient (Lundbeck IS all about the patient? right?) when we get 15 seconds or a signature through the window. Sorry folks, this may still be the easiest job in the world to skate by with but the dignity is gone, the self worth is gone and we annoy more than we educate.

 

Right.... And that's why all these President's Club dinners are such a joke. People posing up on stage, ass kissing with the so called upper leadership. I've won 3 in my 10 year career and I would be the first to admit that I didn't sell any differently from year 1 to year 10. It was all about the MC coverage in my territory and the geography where I was fortunate to be located. Oh, and for you premadonas who feel the need to post your PC trophies and pictures all over LinkedIn....Really?

 

Go get a job with one of the 3 companies expanding looking at lundbeck reps.... 2 psych 1 Neuro. Hysterical! Would love to see the sales force cleaned out here and ASMs can’t hire bc we are on a silent hiring freeze which is true haha this place is a joke especially in psych. World class in all we do my a** it’s big pharma all around with 10 reps in a territory with otsuka and takeda bets and gamm!
