This is completely on point and well said.

QD has a huge target on their back. No doubt. They are audited more than any other lab, and thus have to always think about protecting the lab, before thinking about how to help the client.

Having said that....there is really no excuse for the way the Commercial Team is compensated. There is no driver to produce. Operations are sub par. Billing is sub par. Turn Around Times are Sub Par. Regional labs can take business away in heartbeat.

Oh no I didn't make any money but at least I didn't owe Quest money this quarter.

My secret is that I just blew my numbers out of the water. That earned me my incredible break even commission!

There’s life after Quest. Stop being such a chicken shit. And remember you don’t have to enter data into Sales Force every time you apply for a new job!

Why is anyone still here? The reps take care of so much business but get paid so little.
Also why did it take so long to get the UHC contract? 12 years? Really?

It was a 10 year exclusive and Labcorp extended it a year. That's why.

Why can't we get a 10 year exclusive with UHC?

Correct, junior. You just need to enter and fill the orders correctly, each and every time. Hold the pickle, hold the lettuce, screw it up and you will upset us.

At the end of the day, this landed pretty smoothly.

Here is the deal, the chl reps that negotiated good base salaries 120+ are waiting out the summer...who wants to get a job when the weather is nice. There is NO money for lunches, breakfasts and now no cell phone reimbursement, (wow, how cheap can you be) so few reps even work. Bonus' don't exist. The funny thing is the quest reps, who make 60k, are micromanaged to death.... Patient's are being sent to collections so the whole thing is imploding and quest will destroy chl just like they did bhl JMHO

Maybe they learned their lesson after they destroyed Berkeley HeartLab?

I can't believe we are imploding faster than Berkeley. It's been only 8 months and we are all fed up with the micromanaging and the much smaller commission checks. I feel even worse for the PAEs! They do more work than anyone and get paid next to nothing!

Yeah tired already with the promises of large commission checks and the reality of getting nothing.

    What are the commission %?

    2%....
    How pathetic is that?
Is there anyone else that pays less?

Yes. Any employer that would be foolish enough to hire you again. Prepare for a straight up hourly wage, son. Relocate to a “living wage” state and pray that automation doesn’t take away your 15/hr before your payday loans come due again. Also, enjoy your free uniform and discount value meals on your unpaid breaks. That will be your new benefit package, whopper boy. Hope this helps.
