Hi, Katie Moser here. Is that faux pas to put my name on CafePharma? I waited seven years to be mentioned on this site, and finally made it after I quit. But, since leaving Lundbeck, life is good. I’m back to being an occupational therapist. After resigning in 2016, I worked for two weeks in a group home in South Africa, then three months in Abilene TX, three months in San Luis Obispo CA, and ten months in Yakima WA. All different settings and all amazing experiences. I’m now home and got a permanent OT job at a skilled nursing facility in Long Beach NY.

Over the past two years, I had stepped back from my role in working to create awareness for Huntington’s Disease because I needed to focus on getting my OT career back on track. It’s now time to get back to finding that elusive cure. I have committed to complete the New York City Marathon for the Huntington’s Disease Society of America and am seeking donations.

We all have things going on in life, not all of it is good and it’s easy to come on to the internet and anonymously post. But, how much of your problems have been solved through CafePharma? Today I am asking you to help me solve one of my problems and do something good by making a donation to HDSA through my marathon page.

Just think, a donation today could support research that leads to advances in the neurology (or psychiatry) pipeline resulting in future products to put in your future bags. A donation today could support the research that prevents me (and many others) from getting Huntington’s Disease. It could be the donation that motivates me to push myself that extra mile, because in this life and in this marathon, I have a long way to go.

Congrats on having an actual job that REALLY is patient focused . It must feel great to really be helping people and not just giving lip service to it. Good luck in the marathon !
