Shire’s time in ADHD is almost done, actually in neuroscience. Because the smart people arent all that smart and didn’t invest in neuroscience. Look at all the companies launching new drugs to address unmet needs. It’s crazy to think the pipeline in Pharma for neuroscience is so BIG! Instead of taking care of it’s bread and butter the NBU they used it as a piggy bank to expand into other areas. What did Shire learn about that in 2012? Shire got burned bad with that venture. Now Shire with all it’s history, reputation and relationships in Neuro is dying. What’s worse is FO, PS, MR have accelerated it with horrible decisions. This is what happens when you make pretty boy/Mr. style and no substance your VP of the NBU. Nepotism at its best, he never had to produce, never hit a goal, never meet expectations... who has had every title/position handed to him. But it’s ok, it’s great for the Shire people who helped build this company. Our expertise, knowledge and relationships in Neuro are wanted by those launching new products.
