FDA approves Lucemyra, first drug to curb opioid withdrawal symptoms. Considering the severity of opioid addiction, the FDA had expedited the approval process. Kentucky-based US WorldMeds, the manufacture of Lucemyra, is required to conduct further clinical trials in young people and opioid-addicted mothers of newborns for long-term treatment. The privately held company is yet to price the new drug. https://news.alphastreet.com/fda-approves-first-drug-to-curb-opioid-withdrawal-symptoms/
just a branded, expensive Clonidine. Doctors have already been using Clonidine for years for opiod withdrawal, it is dirt cheap. Why use this, just because it now has FDA indication. Don't think this will be a huge deal.
It will only help people if it is priced right, needs to be priced just above a generic and we know they will not do that. Not used monotherapy, so what is the big deal about this approval. really doesn't bring anything new to treating opiod withdrawal, has QT prolongation issues also. had call to interview but passed on this one.
It’s a good thing you passed on the interview because it’s obvious you lack some pretty basic understanding.
oh really genius, tell me how it differs from Clonidine. i have sold in Addiction medicine probably longer than you have been in pharma. It offers nothing new that Addiction doctors are not already using, you probably don't even know what the treatment paradigm is. When it is premium priced how are you going to answer when a doctor says I have been using Clonidine for years and it works fine, kool-aid boy
if you are worried about how to answer that question than you are just a piece of crap sales person. Any branded drugs out in the market is dealing with that question. Just like our other new med Xadago and we are kicking butt by overcoming that question by saying here are the reasons why you should precribe.... go back to car sales dude
Watch out, we have a badass over here! Apparently, you've never sold branded products before in your 80 years experience selling Addiction medicine
wrong again kool-aid boy. Sold Campral (look up dumbass) and Vivitrol, doubt if you know anything about either one, go sell your "blockbuster PD's" and huge revenue maker Myobloc.
good luck selling an old, blood pressure drug for $1,700 a week. Costs more than Vivitrol and Suboxone combined. 3 studies vs. Clonidine showed equal efficacy, costs $5/month. This will be the shortest launch in history!
to poster #14, their is no co-pay for Clonidine, it is $.15 a day not $240 a day for your wonder drug
You tards blew it when you cancelled the co-promote with Salix. Salix has the best sales force in the industry.
I appreciated the post calling the company US World Turds. That was my favorite post! Oh, and Salix sucks!
