Gotta love the Phoenix site going above and beyond being different. If morale was already low this will certainly make sure it's down in the gutter where it belongs.

Here's some interesting tidbits on the communication. Cheers, and enjoy.

    Dear Phoenix colleagues,

Celgene has recently made a number of enhancements to the US benefits. These changes were made to provide increased flexibility so our workforce can better navigate demands of career and home life. Two of those changes are the addition of Summer Hours and a new Flexible Work Arrangement Policy.

While we celebrate and embrace Celgene’s continued commitment to our employees, we also understand that participation in these offerings may vary greatly, throughout Celgene, based on the needs of the business.
    • This means that someone cried waaaaaaa I can't do this because I'm a slacker and can't my work and deliverable's done on time Imma piss and moan to management / hr. Then management / hr is going to go hmmm a group of people are complaining time to play the safe bet and say you all cannot do something.
We recognize that so many of you go above and beyond on a regular basis and, while we will remain committed to maintain a good work life balance, as a site, we are unable to participate in the Summer hours program.
    • *Breaks out the whip and chair* Get back to work slaves!!!! Yep we see the hard work that you do. Now get back to it. Work life balance means working your asses off here.
We do, however, encourage each of you to continue to work with your manager to discover how, and if, you can revise your schedule to both meet our business objectives and provide increased work/life balance in alignment with the Flexible Work Arrangement Policy. Because so much of our work is dependent on a cross-functional collaboration, each manager will be expected to proactively communicate and coordinate any prospective changes to our schedules with their peers and leaders.
    • Now now let's not forget that you are all replaceable. Why do you think we have this "cross-functional collaboration" shit going on? God forbid you find another job that pays you for an actual work life balance you pansy little peasants are known for wanting. In a nutshell there is no work / life balance at this facility. Ger yer ass back to work!!!

Thank you for your understanding, and for all that you do to support our mission of developing, making and delivering Abraxane to patients. We really appreciate your hard work!
    • This is the ultimate thanks but no thanks statement right here. We sure as hell appreciate your hard work. Because it lines the upper management pockets with the stock options they have, never mind the price sucks because other leaders are busy driving this company into the ground like a $20 dollar hooker. Gotta ream out all them holes before moving on. But I digress.... Basically a PC way of saying sorry not sorry, ger yer ass back to work, and make me moola!!!
    Sincerely,
    The Celgene Phoenix Leadership Team
    • Ya fuck you too!!!!

Great job posting internal communications to cafepharma. I'm sure you'll be missed if you actually leave rather than just whine you don't get Fridays off in a cushy white collar job that most people would kill for.

Ya to the OP posting that memo is a pretty dick move. Either way it does bring a point to when moral is low this is a good way to kick a person while they're down. And before anyone else complains about having a white collar job others would kill for. Please. Sure this place is an OK place to work. But let's not fool ourselves. When employers stop caring about their employees why not stick around for as long you can to milk the cow. Then when something else comes along buh bye.
