    Class Action Lawsuit being prepared.

4-5 months of salary vs. settlement.

The separation package is a total lowball move. Only defense Genentech will have is coming up with a more fair package or face a jury. A jury full of John Q Public’s love to gouge Big Pharma. Hang in there!

A sober reminder to all that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the road.

There are no justifiable grounds for a class action suit and John Q Public would love to have your $80k severance package. Get real.

Ok whatever, $60k then. It’s still more than what 50% of people in your community make in an entire year working twice as hard as you. Reality can be a bitch.

It will be hard to find a good lawyer to take the case. Believe me, Genentech has covered all their bases. HR will not communicate with a rep or manager after the packages are sent out. Only communication will be a letter from your lawyer to GNE. Use your time now to update your resume and start looking for another job, if you need to. You will go through every emotion in the next few months. But there is life after GNE, and it is good.

Agreed take the money and run! No one is going to cry hearing about your Ocrevus $40k quarterly bonuses, and a $60k severance to use for the summer. Sign it and run before its gone!! Genentech is way to powerful to be pushed around. DNA has not lawyers, but law firms! Get it! Its like you playing football against the Patriots. Dont let the emotion cloud your thinking

Yeah that everyone conveniently forgets! A year sabbatical on the house! You people have nerve to complain. Were you complaining when you were getting paid to to do zilch? Did you pay the money back for not working? Do you think you should have? The company is now taking advantage of you like you took advantage of Genentech. Touche

The company is not taking advantage of anyone, simply making sound business decisions designed to optimize future sales and preserve the long-term success of the organization (translation, they are saving a lot more jobs than they are cutting by optimizing ROI throughout the organization, not just the MS group.)

Class action= Lawyers getting most of the money and reps wait years before you get paid. Good luck with that...

Move on... If you are good and can sell get back in the saddle...

Reps were way overpaid for these sales positions.

Base salaries WOW, just the start
    Company car
    Benefits

Fortune mag 2016 survey indicated bio-pharma reps were the highest paid reps for the medical industry. They were compensated more the med device reps.

Last time I checked I did not see bio-pharma reps closing a quarter (most likely not even knowing when business quarters started on finished) or making a sales pipe for the future.

Companies adjust to supply and demand...and understand they can pay less for the same or better performers.

    Good luck to all.

Take your fight to the public about that 60k severance package!!

via Another week, another dismal pharma trust and reputation poll. This time, the poll comes from the Reputation Institute, which found that pharma companies' national and global reputations are under stress, with a 3.7 point general decline in reputation score.

The public's scorn of pharma is not just toward the company, it's the salespeople too. They see you in their Dr's office, all slick and polished like a used car salesman.

Take the money and run from this dumpster fire as fast as you can. More misery will follow here.
