They will lie to your face get you to join Sun

it’s the only way they can get anyone, just anyone to come here.

I even heard some people refuse to be part of the interview team because they can’t sit across from a candidate, look them in the eye and say ‘yes, coming here is good for you, good for us, and good for your career and family”.

However the ranks of those kind of people have now dwindled to low single digits.

 

the first couple of years were rough but wait till the dry eye product launches . Bromsite was just to get a foot in ophthalmology ( we all knew it was a dud)now that we have that we will be crushing xiidra & restasis.
The buzz around this company will sound very different in 3-6 months. In fact, Allergan may stop pushing artificial tears and start selling their reps real tears.

 

Tildra approved. NSDs hired a while ago. Sales force hired and trained this year. Where’s Tildra ? Waiting, waiting ...

I left before my year was up. The place is a terrible place. I will never speak to the dirt ball that convinced me to join Sun. I thought he was a friend... nope just a lying sack of crap.

 

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard this about Sun.

It’s systemic - the only way they can get someone to join is to just flat-out lie about the company (completely without vision or direction), culture (horrific, abusive), and alleged pipeline. HR, sales, marketing, medical leadership: they all lie about this place.

People at Sun are in hell now and they’re simply looking for any help they can get as they hang on.

That’s simply the best way to sum it up.

I work in sales. I like my manager. I like my freedom. I like the drugs I sell. I like my base salary, and I consistently hit bonus, which is over 10k.

Not much I don’t like. Also my company car is better than my last fleet vehicle.

 

Your career at Big Lots and Walmart is not a fair comparator.

I’ve been in Pharma 16 years and by far this is the best place I’ve ever worked. Btw I’ve worked for Sanofi, Pfizer and Amgen.
My bonuses have been insane and the leadership has been awesome.
I hope this ride lasts forever.

Likely it’s from the one that used to post all kinds of propaganda about Sun on LinkedIn, though after being called out on that specifically, she stopped.

Shaylynn - wise up, your recruiting job would be so much easier working for another company. You wouldn’t be fighting a lying, uphill battle.

But on the flip side, at Sun, the job requisitions keep pouring onto your desk because everyone in resigning!

I guess that means you have guaranteed employment for some time to come, because people quit and then it’s awefully difficult to get any backfills, let alone any with real talent.
