    I realize that I am not the higher power, however, rather than being a man-like entity, I believe the 'powers of creation' and the reason we are all here are too intricate for us to understand and I certainly don't believe the version which puts a grey bearded man-like consciousness in charge of a world which systematically punishes and rewards. That works for me.

    I’m not sounding as absurd as you are. We can run the numbers on what you believe and they come up with a probability of zero.

    The guy responsible for us being on the moon sounded as absurd as I do.

    The guy who headed the human genome project sounds as absurd as I do.

    One of the scientific geniuses of all time sounded as absurd as I do.

    I could go on and on but my point is that it was established long ago that my belief was intellectually respectable. In fact of all the options it is THE most intellectually respectable and logical belief.

    The primary purpose was mapping the human genome and the guy who headed it up is a Bible believing Christian.
