Instead of the regular negativity, lets have a positive thread that shows appreciation instead. I will begin.

I like working here because of the wonderful opportunity afforded to me. I know that my job is important because the medications I promote helps to improve and in some cases save lives. Everday is another opportunity for me to influence providers, who in turn impact patients with our life saving drugs, that otherwise might still suffer in silence. I like my salary, car, benefits and career advancment chances.

    I love my job!

Exactly Mr/s Negativity! And people are posting that they are happy. Because they are. They appreciate what they have been given and know that they are fortunate and thus they are happy. Some people are happy idiot.

You don't seem happy, you seem angry. Why call someone an "idiot"? You are angry not happy.

Okay Freud how insightful. Actually if it looks like a cat and sounds like a cat then it is usually a cat. You are projecting your own interpretation. Do you often see things from a negative view?

    Look up the word idiot.

I was not the one calling someone and "idiot" I was merely pointing it out to them. So your point is correct, the person calling someone an idiot is "projecting" thanks for pointing that out to the angry person calling someone an idiot. Anything else?

I love my job. But then again I left AZ in 2012 and moved on to a moderate sized biopharma company. I can’t inagibe what my life would be like if I was still at AZ. I suspect I’d have less hair.

So who said CP has to be a place just filled with negativity? Why can't people come on here and praise others or their job? At a time of record layoffs I too am happy to work here. I have a great boss, great products, the pay is great, benefits are great, and the long term outlook is bright. Sure AZ isn't perfect but there IS no perfect place.

No other sales industry has a place where people just come to complain. Maybe glass door but that at least has positive comments. I praise the person that is grateful to AZ. If it ends tomorrow then you search for a new journey.

I think the AZ board could be a different kind of board one where people post positive things and post about what makes their job great rather than complain all the time. If you live in a negative state of mind you just make YOURSELF miserable. I will stay positive. I hope you fix whatever is wrong inside of YOU.

You "left" AZ in 2012, but you're still perusing AZ posts on CP six years later? Nice.

Have you ever seen a successful negative person? You know the ones at meetings that are chronic complainers about role playing, bad food, no free time, traveling for worthless meetings.....
If everything and every leaders sucks then it can't be their fault that they have never been promoted and never will be. Most of them would piss themselves if they had to make a sales presentation or any presentation in front of their peers.

Pharma is a great job....(disclaimer: I was laid off, no longer in the biz)..

Daily commute 15 seconds to your own driveway...Not sitting in an office making a 100 cold calls a day sourced from your own efforts (done that).... Your DM rides along with you a couple times a month or less?...try having your sales mgr...sitting 20ft away from you , looking at his 'dashboard' monitoring your hourly activity of calls, returned calls, appointments set etc..(yes, these things are out there)....

How about the live score board on a biggest ass HD screen...showing your sales for week total only about $80,000 (not bad , but your profit margin is only 10%=$8K profit,,not bad you say for a week's work! but hold on you share of that (less your draw) is going to be about $650 for the week).

Never got a call from a customer, vendor after hours or had to come in on a Saturday morning to fix a problem while in pharma.

Yeah pharma is a great job if you can keep it
