Does management really think the customers don't know that the reason for the GG shortage in the U.S. market is due to managements decision to distribute GG in Europe at a higher profit margin? How much $ are we Sales Reps going to make this quarter? How will this affect customer loyalty?
Oh jeez. God forbid we sell our product where we can make the most money. Isn't that what this is all about? You're a sales rep, you should know this.
We're all about making money, for me and the company, however, when management directs us to gain markety share and says there will be no supply side issues and we convay that to the customer - and then they pull this stunt . . . now I can't deliver and it is a negative reflection on me and my credibility. The customers are upset with me, not my manager - get it?
As the parent of a child with CVID, this management decision is irresponsible. We went for our infusion and guess what, though we were told our supply would be guaranteed - paperwork filled out for Gammaguard - , there was nothing. As the recipient of 18G every three to four weeks to maintain his counts now for three years, I was not please to say the least. Thankfully my insurance company approved Gammunex, an alternative but this meant we had to reduce his infusion rate which was already a full day ordeal and risk more reactions. Gammaguard doesn't make Tylenol. They make IVIG which is necessary for my child to live. How dare management put a price tag on his life by shipping it to Europe. I have no issue with expanding the business but not at the expense of my child.
Welcome to the real world. Baxter like any other company is only interested in the end customer when they need someone to pose for the annual report. Even then most are actors/models. Baxter is selling the product in Euorpe because they have limited supply and therefore want to maximize profit. Not sure if this is an economic model of supply/demand. Reduce the supply, waiting lists, resulting in increased price under the camo of so called limited supply. Vp's (and yes Baxter has a TON of them) report to the president who reports to the board of directors and finally(who are one in the same) the stockholders. This is health care, but first and foremost, a business design to make money. No different than any other business.
Who cares about Gammagard shortage....Reading about the lazy drug delivery RMs especially Dick Ward is far more interesting!
Too bad your MD didnt prescribe Privigen. Their assurance program accepts your gardian supply vouchers and with a new plant that can manufacture a lot of IVIG supply issues shouldnt be a problem for many years to come!!
I’m supposed to get my Gammaguard infusion in four days. I just got a call they don’t have any to send me‼️‼️‼️ It has kept me healthy for 12 years. I have genetic hypogammaglobulinemia and myasthenia gravís. My homehealth nurse schedules for a month in advance. What am I supposed to do?
