I’ve left Sun and am in another role/company. While at Sun, payments to our suppliers were slow, and well beyond any norms and I’d make sure our suppliers were aware of that. And, they’d build that delay into their pricing. We knew that.

Over the past few months, former suppliers have connected with me about providing services and I’ve had at least two, unsolicited yet in a professional manner, make mention that they had to end their relationship with Sun due to pure non-payment.

There were no disputes as it relates to their quality or timing of services to Sun, I actually checked back with former colleagues at Sun to ask about that.

It just is looking like Sun is not paying people.

    Heads up.

What you see here is the essence of a company which lacks any integrity. You can get away with this in India because you’re the biggest and almost only gig in town. Not the case here.

Stiff the suppliers who deliver what you asked for at a fair price. Some will just going away and write it off as bad-debt.

Then, ‘stiff’ your employees by delaying (home office) bonuses, and by failing to provide any concrete bonus amount or timelines for payout.

For every week they are delayed, people resign, in turn, enabling the company to deny paying out the bonuses earned because ‘must be employed at time of bonus payout’.

This is a deliberate move on the part of the company. We need to challenge this BS. There’s no way they don’t know - all the financials for year-end were publicly reported as required by law. They know the numbers and how that translates to bonuses.

    They’re simply holding out paying.

And this is just one of the many reasons that Sun has such a horrible reputation: among customers, suppliers and with our own ‘employees’.
