Boys and Girls listen up, take this for what you will but can’t come back later and say you were not warned! Week of Aug 6 is the DDay for layoffs. Stay, Run go on disability do what you have to do but time is running out and chances are you will not survive this time.

I'm pretty sure the "bomb drops" on August 8 - the day when the financial report is presented.

I don't have any inside info, but it would make sense to announce the 3000 layoffs they have denied then, with the restructure going into effect in the fall, as has been the case the last 4 years in a row.

in one of the last "bomb drop" articles on globeshare Lars F says :
"I look forward to sharing more detail at the upcoming quarterly meeting in the beginning of August,” Lars says, adding that this will include “the first changes as to how we want to operate as a company”."

According to the recent globeshare article (the “bomb drop” clarification video) LarsF says, that important news will be already present on the day of the quarterly report (Aug 8)

So when is the actual date of the Q2 financial update being released? What is the word at the home office in US as far as job loss or are we really safe in the US this year?

Because by cutting tenured reps and replacing them with newer reps, you also reduce your cost base. If you layoff 1000 and replace some of those with cheaper reps, it’s a win/win for the company.

This just seems to have escalated to a depressing level of chaos fairly quickly. Good luck to all.

This is Lars. I will bet you $12 that I will not drop any bombs on August 8 announcement. I made a mistake using the word bomb. I am sorry for that. Each unit make their own headcount plans as usual. Some fire others might not. That is business as usual. I will annonce efforts to create agility and bold cultural changes. Stay tuned I will be dropping candy.

Wouldn't it make sense to do it during the meeting on the 16th?

The headcount reduction in the US will be shocking to all, especially the field. In some ways the early leak out of Denmark was a blessing, as it gave the opportunity to prepare. Those who didn’t, or believe there will be no affect, will face trying times very shortly. I’m sorry it has come to this, but cannot be avoided.

I’m so glad to be out of there. It’s a ridiculous amount of stress each year with their changes, decisions, quotas, etc. Get creative and do something you enjoy. Life is short.

Not much you can do at this time. Just wait and see what (if anything) Lars is actually dropping...

Can someone please explain the logic of having your workforce regularly on pins and needles wondering if they will be displaced on at least an annual basis? Are they hoping the unstable environment will lead to people leaving? I would think this, but they have hired so many since the last major layoff - getting people to leave doesn’t seem to be the endgame. Is this some brilliant corporate strategy that is lost on my simple mind? Because, I don’t get it.

There is no logic to get. Fact is your leadership can't get it together so they have locked themselves into this vicious cycle of "changing things up" every year in the fall. Its almost like they expect themselves to do something every October.
