Good. Now if they would just comb through the ranks of asshats that are still here and purge them. Morale is at an all time low, particularly in R&D in Atlanta--where the monster/liar/sexist/racist "leader" is hated by all. How about a lawsuit-in-waiting for the new company?

Come on...this is a great day for Alcon! As a long time employee with Alcon we’ve seen mostly great times. This is a milestone opportunity for all of us that remain dedicated to this business.

The view above is certainly not indicative of the entire organization. Sorry your going through tough times in your functional area. Hope all of the positive news helps!

Scary for those who are under Novartis, supporting Alcon...

Will have to see what happens. In the last year, things have improved as Novartis stopped screwing up the business. Main issue has been the heavy workload - having to cover job vacancies that were not being replaced. Will that improve? And what about the retirement packages for those that have been here awhile? Lots of questions. But happy to say good by to Novartis .

    Novartis really destroyed Alcon.

Loved how they shrunk all the offices and cubicles. What the f#$& was the purpose of that and what did it accomplish?

Was let go in the 3 round of layoffs when Novartis took over. Over 20 years with Alcon. I hope Novartis crashes and burns. They destroyed a great company. Karma is a bitch.

Great opportunity for Alcon Asia but a lot needs to be done Raj... at least now you should PURGE the baggage out like Federica, Andrew, Juan, Nicole ....and get back some lost talent over the years to make Alcon a winner again in the region

I also hope they crash and burn! I was layed off when they suddenly told all the employees one day to sit by the phone the next day and they would let us know our fate. They cut 2000 employees and couldn't have cared less how it affected us and our families. It didn't keep some from making their million dollar salaries and bonuses! Karma is a bitch!

Greed to put more people in the same floorspace. Lack of privacy so managers can watch employees.

Agree that we're all glad to have Novartis off our necks...but re the OP's statement...it's true. George is a sadist, control freak. We ALL hate him, he's driving off all the decent people while Franck sits back and lets him do it. R&D will be an empty shell by the time the spin-off happens. HR is a joke and the new guys don't appear to be aware of what's happening in Atl. But hey i'm just a phd scientist, what do I know about managing people.

All the Silent crocodiles are in the starting line to come out!! Getting Lost Talent back? are you kidding?
They are already doing well without Alcon...You will still continue to have mediocre leaders who have given things free and have had no accountability nor any integrity to build business long term and have been famous Ass lickers.... how come you can have Alcon being winners again!!!
