Judy is on the bod, and probably loves that she has helped kill many! Fits in with the GSK way. No regard for human life, just greed! You bunch of kiddie killers!

Theres always change. What I know for sure is there’s a lot of pressure on US respiratory to produce. Stock is down, and everyone is feeling it. Bonuses are almost nonexistent so reps can’t count on them anymore. There’s so much uncertainty that reps are firing up their resumes before the titanic hits the proverbial iceberg.

Hey post #19 - I am a shareholder as well. I am the assistant custodian at the ship yard here in Philly. Does that mean that I'm a Board Member as well? Damn, who knew a shlub with a GED could get so far in life. Only in America!

Now listen and listen good! GSK is a great company with all the problems an organization of this size would expect to have. If you aren't happy, get the hell out! Tired of hearing people like you whine and complain. Sack up and behave like an adult! Zigler out!

Another RVP is out. A forced retirement for a Nucala Regional. Another 250K+ per year saved. Like I said, it's happening right in front of your eyes, just open them. FLLs, and RVPs, start looking or you will be asked to leave. Field reps are safe until 2020. Finally, useless management is getting paired down. Reps..the ones who drive revenue are actually being held in esteem and with value. Open your eyes folks. Zigler out!

Being a "leader" in this company is soon difficult. At least that's what they would have you believe. I pose this question to you, how many "leaders" have either stepped down into a representatives position (voluntarily) or retired (voluntarily). I don't know of a single one. Why would that be if the job is so demanding? I'll tell you why. The job aint that difficult! Worst of all, most (not all) of those positions are redundant and counter-productive. Think of what a an FLL does. They sit on conference calls every Friday and discuss performance. Then they resurrect the same old solutions and ideas to improve business. After that they observe their representatives on field calls (annoying both the rep and the customer) and offer criticism. Sure they approve expense reports but those take a few minutes. For all of that "demanding" work, they make a salary between 150K - 200K. Of course they have a ramped up incentive plan with guaranteed company shares and an extra week of vacation. There compensation package is easily 250K on the low end. And when it comes to them underperforming, they always have the rep to point the finger at. It is time that we thin the management ranks! From SVPs to RVPs to FLLs. There are significant redundancies and ineffective roles to be cut. As much as it pains management to here this, they know full well that this is the truth! Another unwanted truth is how significant Field Representatives are...There is no other marketing vehicle that can replicate the sales and revenue a sales rep generates. It is a fact and no real argument to make disputing this. Yet, representatives are the lowest paid position in the marketing ladder. Ladies an gentlemen, the company...the industry is waking up to this! Managers direct reports will soon be at 10-12 per district. They way it used to be, the way it should have always been. It will save our organization tens of millions annually. RVPs will have similar spans of control. So as the previous poster said, open your eyes, it's currently taking place. Someone referenced an RSD in a company influenced retirement. Just that one RSD cut saved the company over 300K per year..for a job that really doesn't add much value. Message to managers, get those resumes up to date. Half of you will not be here in 2019.

Thank you for one of the most honest posts on here. The leadership has become more obstructing than helping.

To post #28. That was a long message with a few grammatical errors. However, the spirt and content is spot on! Reps add value and generate revenue. Management meddles and job justifies. Not too much value in that. I loved your quote so I will re-post.

Another unwanted truth is how significant Field Representatives are...There is no other marketing vehicle that can replicate the sales and revenue a sales rep generates. It is a fact and no real argument to make disputing this.

    Nicely done and so true!

Just a sad place here. Perhaps reps will last but they are trying their best to screw us. My numbers for my product way above target yet our region will get very little bonus. Seriously Gsk if you want us to fight for numbers PLEASE change your way of paying bonus. Committed to sticking around til end of year. Looking for a gig out of a pharma.,They abuse top reps here. It’s all about doing excel spread sheets for managed care, etc. Hello-I can look up my own managed care ok???? Do you think I’m an idiot??? I track my top 25,at most and call on them to maintain market share. If I did what Gsk wants me to do I would lose my business. Absolute idiots

This needs to be said for both RVP and FLL.

RVP- Some of them have zero clue as to how to create a real life strategy in today’s market place. They really create more fire drills than any selling solution. When our RVP who was never a rep came to our area, it was obvious they had no clue how to coach or sell in the modern day.

FLL- Where do we start? They act as obstructions plain and simple. Ride alongs are a train wreck, they make you do clerical busy work, they make you print random things out that are in the iPad, they act like your share isn’t the highest, they nitpick for no reason, add pointless calls, disurupt, and they glorify special projects.....You know what doesn’t happen? Real strategy for what’s going on in the market place, it’s literally a show for them.

They need to fix those in these positions, the culture and ways of working are a mess.

The new, proprietary GSK social media platform will save the day by enhancing collaboration and trust in a performance - driven manner. As reps we can have greater access to coaching tips and best practices, increase touch-points with leadership to enable guidance and sales success, even do virtual ridealongs via live-streaming! Yay!

I would love "virtual ride-alongs"! I'm not kidding! No more FLLs sitting next to you for 8 hours. Just log them in on each call. Make four calls via live stream, get feedback and your done! See ya in a couple of months. I can actually fart in my car! Take a crap without having to have some long explanation. I'm all over this! It would also mean there would not be a need for as many FLLs. I manager could handle 20 reps. Nice! Bring it all day long!

If they would move back to sales based ranking again no need for all this ridiculousness! I thought the CIA was over! Their way to keep managers employed and bonus payout low.

Reps justify management jobs all the way up the line.

"Another unwanted truth is how significant Field Representatives are...There is no other marketing vehicle that can replicate the sales and revenue a sales rep generates. It is a fact and no real argument to make disputing this".

Sure they can lay off reps. Maybe 25% By doing so, you would have a 50% reduction in management and no room for error.

Yes. We field reps spend our days mopping up the mess made by management. This place needs to be cleaned up.

These people saying reps do not need to be reduced are just nuts. 5 respiratory reps in a geography selling in copd and asthma with access at 50%. Your days are numbered too.

Who in the hell has 5 reps in one geography?
