Sleazy Vanda Strikes Again!

    Vanda was first too darn cheap as usual to pay fully for the health insurance of those laid off through September 30th but they said that they would cover the employer portion. Well, that employer and employee portion goes up in August with the new benefits election period and the customer service for COBRA in India has no freaking knowledge of it! The COBRA website only has information through July 31st, 2018 and the helpless desk for COBRA is a pure joke!

    Nice way to fuck with the lives, livelihoods, and health of people once more Vanda! You are such a poor excuse for a pharmaceutical company because you obviously don't give a fuck about the health of anyone!

    Your separation agreement pointed out you weren't owed severance or health insurance but they were doing it because they were so very kind. Ha Ha Ha. Not a single person would have signed the agreement without that hush money and without that hush money, those reps would be filling suits and talking to the feds.

    Many had left prior to the purge and got nothing and have no agreement and they are talking plus some AMs and word is managers and a few internal people are turning. Bye bye Vanda.

    It is too late for Vanda and that was even before the hub was internalized, which reeks of criminal activity. Think of the many pushed out of high level and good home office jobs. They were already talking..... The recent cleansing of the field doesn't matter, the shit had already hit the fan but Dr Adolf has no idea to what extent. Don't forget to tune in August 1 for the Q2 earnings call and listen to the CEO and CFO lie through their teeth. Guaranteed that they will have Tom schedule a field call the same time so people don't listen to both. But,. we all have those hideous second phones they want us to use. I can listen to both. Tom never has anything to say except " we are looking into that" and "things are happening in real time".

    Most of those that left prior to the purge usually had another job because they were disgusted with Vanda.

    I am surprised to read that some managers and internal folks are no longer drinking the kool aid but I guess they realized that what is wrong is wrong!

    Inside HQ is hell. Turnover is extremely high and unhappiness unbearable. There hasn't been much Kool aid drinking in a long time. It only takes a few days to realize it's a bad place to work. Most everyone with experience and intelligence is gone. Not encouraged to interact with the field representatives which seems backwards.

    so I assume this means you are in headquarters, can you give us any info on what is happening up there. We don’t know anything, we continue to work and nothing is being communicated. I just want to know how long we have before they purge the rest of the team like they did a month ago or when the feds are coming in to break up this sham.

    not any longer - and would not know anyhow, the place is a complete clusterf*** with direction and responsibilities always changing and very little communication.

    Has TG made ANY attempt to get to know any of the reps? I've heard of maybe like three ride alongs he has done in the past with reps and that's about it.

    Do TG, GP, or Dr. P actually know the people that have won Winner's Circle this year and last year except for the one female regional that magically made it both times despite not having the numbers for this year?

    The reps are probably just all names on a piece of paper to them that they can cross out at anytime to get rid of and it is a pure shame!

    Are you new here? She was awesome and had ethics. Why on earth would she stay? She was either driven out by the family or by her own conscious. She is only one more in a long long line of really good HQ employees that have left, you all just have no idea. I’m not sure if a single clinical person that actually got Hetlioz and Fanapt approved is left.

    Attempts have been made to get Dr P and GP into the field to see how it is in the "real world". They need to visit the offices that are lied to by the hub as well as just see what reps do for a living. GP MAY have ridden with someone long ago but the all powerful and all knowing CEO refuses. He is too afraid that may he will learn that he knows NOTHING about how to sell or market pharmaceuticals and he has surrounded himself in management with a bunch of suck ups that are have been too afraid to tell him that his ideas suck. (But these suck ups in turn have fired anyone that had balls to try to keep the company from unneeded liability or had constructive suggestions.

    why do you think he is trying to replace the sales force with "associate" reps?

    Are recent college grads with no pharma experience going to challenge his ideas? And identify unethical and/or aggressive behavior and report it?

    I feel for those that went through that purge and not surprised that they are continuing to fuck with you. You had to sign some documents didn't you? If they are breaking the agreement, not you, Vanda could be in deep shit. Why cant they just do the right thing for you and your family and the families of the rest of the purge. Dr Poly certainly takes care of his own family.

    Yes, some documents had to be signed and COBRA is saying that Vanda has done nothing wrong (even though they have been misleading) since they have the right to bump up premiums up to 102% if they desire by law.

    Just to break it down for everyone--the full price COBRA for one former employee is $657 in July and will jump to about $856 in August with COBRA.

    Who knows if the premium will jump up again in September?

    And, again, dealing with the customer service center in India handling COBRA has been pure hell!

    Vanda continues to screw with you even after leaving? Why does Dr P hate the field so much? We are on the front lines representing the company but he treats the reps like dirt. His day is coming. The stockholders will not put up with him after Vanda starts making the news for big fines or a criminal investigation.

    He is just not a good person. It's as simple as that. He has gotten rid of good people in DC and the field and had surrounded himself with YES men and women like Jan. GP TG and the 3 very incompetent but subserviant regionals. He cannot take criticism, no matter how constructive. He is also a very desperate individual that must look good at all times and will lie, cheat and steal to maintain image. It is very sad. His children would probably hate working for such a tyrant but he handed then jobs well above their experience and showered them in stock that was also supposedly going to be offered to other employees not named Polymeropolous. That was yet another lie. Completely unqualified to be a CEO of any company needing a stable leader.

    Some people paid $711 but I think everyone will pay $856 in August.
