I don’t want to reach out to HR and possibly alert them to my situation but I’m wondering if anyone here has an answer to my question. I am considering resigning at the end of a bonus-payout period- at which time I would have theoretically already have earned my bonus payout for the next quarter. Would I still be eligible to receive that payout when it is paid even if I am no longer with the company?

Yes if you work a complete quarter then you will get your bonus for that quarter. Assuming you have returned all the company property

Also if you work 2/3 of the Qtr you will still get a bonus payout. For example, for Q3 you would have to work until at least the end of August, meaning you will get paid for both July & August. Anything less than two full months of the quarter and you will get $0.

Not correct. You will get paid for the amount of time you are working, as long as your resignation date is a full month. It's not the last day worked, it the date of resignation. For example if you resign Aug 1 you will get paid bonus for Juky, but if you resign July 29th and work out your two weeks into Aug, you won't get any July bonus.

Are you required to stay out of the field as soon as you offer your resignation? Do they just use your 2-weeks notice to close you out?

This is not accurate based upon my experience and I recently resigned from Sanofi. Once you put in your two week’s notice you are technically still employed for the next two weeks and receive your bonus if you work two full months of the quarter (i.e. 2/3 of your bonus). So for Q3, you can put your notice in no sooner than 8/17 to get your full bonus. My understanding too is that the 2 weeks is up to the ABL’s discretion. I was still in the field some of that time saying goodbye to customers and helping my partner while also winding down.

I am curious to where reps are going now days. I have been out of the pharmaceutical world for 10+ years and thinking of going back. Can anyone recommend companies that; offer high bases, individual territories, are respected and have excellent products? Yes, I realize that is asking a lot however, I have a good job so I don't want to go back for anything less than the former. Thank you for thoughtful responses.

Obviously your present job isn’t cutting it. Is that a fair statement?

[You can log into javelin, find 2018 ICIC p policy under resources on the right ana read the rules as follows under Separation from the Company....it says "IC payment can be earned for the month which employment ends if you give notice on or afterafr the last day of the month." There for you will get paid bonus for the months you are here, and it has nothing to do with 2/3 of the quarter. It also says the actual termination date, not the last day worked is used for purposes of this rule. ...so if you put in notice on Aug 1 or July 31st, you will get paid for July and July only for this quarter. If you put in on Aug 31, you will be paid for July and August and so on.

So if I’m reading this right, if I wanted to get full payout for my Q3 bonus, I could offer my 2-weeks beginning no earlier than Sept 30...with my last work date according to my 2-weeks being Oct 14? Or could I give my 2-weeks on Sept 17 with my last work date according to my 2-weeks being Oct 1?

To get full q3 bonus, you will have to turn in your notice no earlier than Sept 30 . The two weeks (if ur msbsgma wants you to work them out...some do not) won't count toward bonus, but you will get paid for those two weeks .

I was fired from Sanofi on the last day of a quarter. Company refused to pay me any bonus, claiming that you have to be employed on the day the payment is made to receive it. Hope you are confident in the information you are receiving here.

My bonus plan was $1.00 per toilet cleaned, and 50 cents per roll of paper changed
Only benefit I miss is free lunch, I ate the shitstains off the rim.

Spending time with your own mind is humbling and broadening. One finds that there’s no one in charge, and is reminded that no thought lasts for long.

My suggestion is to not get too bogged down in the small stuff. I'm assuming your bonus is $5K or less (once taxes are deducted). To be safe put your 2 week notice in on Oct. 1. That means you will definitely get the Qtr 3 bonus. You will need to fully expect to be in the field for the 2 weeks. However, don't sweat the small stuff. In the long run in life it's much better to just walk on your own terms and reduce the stress of Sanofi controlling you. You will probably be making much more at the new job - so put your focus on that.

Amen. Sanofi will suck every ounce of life out of your body. Get out while you have your sanity. Don’t let the frenchies control you. They are a bunch of liberal douchbags. Bon jour.
