Always fun to watch the egotistical bigwigs work the room and delight in the attention they receive from the suckups.

Boyd winning anything means even the lowest scumbag can get an award at Astellas. He is the definition of a toxic person that HR allows to remain employed. I work for the creep and he gets away with intimidation and creating a hostile work environment . Talk about playing the system.

It went by objective data. #1 two years in a row. I work for him as well and he is the best director hands down. You’re lucky to work under him and be a part of the winning team. Keep coming online and complaining anonymously, shows your complete lack of character. Let me guess you’re one of the 10am-2pm soccer moms. The only people who complain are the ones that don’t work. We need to clean house on the West Coast and get rid of coat tail riders like you who reap the benefits of a performing area but still come online and complain. If your work environment is so hostile then get the hell out and find a new job, plenty of people lined up ready to work. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

I’m sorry, Pharma isn’t selling. It being a UPS driver and cater f’ing lunches for fat ass nurses. As a recent pharmaceutical rep, you don’t have a hard job. You are ranked by where you live and manage care wins.

The character or lack thereof isn’t evident bc an individual posts on CP any more than it is evident in an upper manager has good/great numbers. There are plenty of areas that perform well, but usually this has do to goaling. Ever notice that Florida was the big winner, then Texas, and now California? It is all in the goals. So don’t try to exalt the recipient RSM or ASD to that of a wonderful person. And stop attacking someone who is trying to shine light on a possible problem. This company could do quite a bit more in assuring that there is quality management, especially following HR claims. This individual in particular has had years of complaints about his unacceptable behavior. Home office looks the other way. And thanks, simple minded poster, for confirming the hostile workplace by using the soccer mom label as an example of someone who doesn’t work hard. The hardest working teammates out there are women, as every male rep out there is undoubtedly slack, takes shortcuts and expects others to fill in the blanks for their lack of knowledge or preparedness. And yes, the environment is hostile, as shown by the tone of your post. Guess you are overcompensating for your shortcomings.

I have been with the company for long time and have not heard any complains about this individual. What do those amount to?

Actually coming on CP and posting someone by first and last name and insulting them with no legitimate evidence or anything to back your claim is very telling of your character, especially doing it anonymously. If you have a problem go to HR. If they “don’t do anything” get a lawyer. If that doesn’t help get a new job. It’s called being an adult. Or just keep coming online and gossiping like the little girls you are. Welcome to the real world. If you don’t like the company and your environment is hostile then leave. Like I said, don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Really not that hard to do your route and collect your check but some people find a way to still complain and gossip about their company and managers online. Ingrates. In today’s world you’re lucky to have a job in Pharma AND not have to worry about layoffs (for the most part). The only improvement HR needs to make at Astellas is not hiring losers with a victim mentality.

The only complaints you’ll hear about the individual are from sour disgruntled employees on Cafe Pharma. Nobody in the company I’ve come across has anything but great things to say. Grow up.

But my commute is extremely short, convenient hours, usually don't work a full day, easy to take sick time, and the pay is actually pretty good. Why would I jump through hoops like you describe? It's easier to just complain with direct comments for others to see.

it is also easy for folks (males) to fail to see and fail to care about a dysfunctional manager who is a sexual harrasser or person who creates a hostile work environment. I am not saying the above person is or isn’t either of those things, but if he is, who is anyone to tell the OP they are wrong? It has happened plenty in this world for years, and this company isn’t immune. And if the OP has gone to HR and nothing was done, (which is common) then it is their right to come on and let potential applicants know of their experiences, even if it gets your undies in a WEDGE. So, until you hav been in someone else’s shoes, why don’t you keep your mouth shut, and go do YOUR job. Stay off CP if you can’t take it. Because venting was its purpose all along. That is why it is anonymous.
