    Hello all,
My wife will be applying for a Case/Clinical Specialist position for RTG-Spine. After doing some Googling for key talking points/interview Q&A about the division I come across posts about restructuring, low single digit growth, and layoffs. Are the layoffs mostly with manufacturing? Does she have any reason to be concerned that her position will be effected by all this rhetoric? Thanks and I appreciate any insight.

Anything to do with RTG divisions...........RUN!!! It is a real S*** show there right now. Roy Gavin does not care about the people or the culture of the business unit. The 12 RVP's are clueless and not much better.

It's a great position for someone with a clinical background. Also very secure as far as continued employment is concerned. Clinical Specialists do not have a quota responsibility but they are heavily heavily relied upon for case coverage. The result of this is that they are able to establish important relationships with customers and make a long-term positive impact with the company if they're doing a good job. as she moves to the interview process one of the more important consideration should be the sales reps on the team she works with. If they're respectful and professional she'll do well. If they are like the people who make comments as above then she won't enjoy herself.

Fortunately anonymous shitposters are not usually hired by Medtronic and the guys making the comments are probably languishing in pharmaceutical sales job somewhere just checking in on this board from time to time to feel good about themselves. Medtronic never hire them.
