They actually did those people a favor. They got their full bonus with kicker, generous severance and their stock options. Many if not all are in much better places. Thanks Phlegm!

If you do fight for yourself, they will screw you. Unfortunately, you think you have rights, but, in most cases, they hold the cards.

This is not true. You just have to have documentation of the discrimination and you have them! Trust me, I know first hand!!!

That’s what I meant by fight for yourself, having documentation! I know first hand too! Not everyone thinks to keep the documentation.

Oh I did. And they knew it. People had documentation on HR’s shenanigans too.

Bullshit statement! Be smart. Document. Document and document everything and anyone. Research the best employment attorney. There are many but look for the firm that has the most experience with the pharmaceutical industry. They are out there. Schedule a consult. Have your documentation organized. Have questions. Typically initial meeting is free. Know the EEOC, Shire’s guidelines and any other policies by heart like your CIA agreements. You have choices. HR assumes you are afraid and won’t speak up. Never easy to speak up but there is a pervasive culture of discrimination from top to bottom.Find another job. Do not sign the servance-negates your rights to bring suit. Bottom line if it smells fishy it probably is. Legal representation is imperative. Good luck!

the only discrimination in this day and age is against the straight, white male. The last non-victims in our society, when they fall then everybody’s a victim!

Discrimination has a lot of layers that make it tough for minorities to get a leg up.

I have most definitely been discriminated against from Day 1 by my ZD. I have documented EVERYTHING. He has made many mistakes along the way because he has no business in his position. He has favorites on the team and has ostracized me from the very beginning. There is no way it will be a he said she said situation either. I've already lawyered up and am waiting for the right time to pull the trigger.
