I heard Shionogi is looking to sell Symproic now that Purdue is out? Contract reps will be hired temporarily until they can find a buyer for it within a year. I was in the process of interviewing for a job here and not sure what to do now.

Syneos is recruiting for the sales rep positions. They are looking for reps with either GI or pain experience. Iā€™m curious if anyone knows the range for base salary.

It doesn't matter what the salary is, look elsewhere. The company is actively shopping the drug around and as soon as they get a buyer the sales force is going to be let go. That is a fact, not cafe pharma BS.

They are planning on hiring 60+ contract reps nationwide through Syneos. District managers have been hired and rep interviews are next week in Chicago. They are moving fast, start date is the end of August but I do not know the base salary rage, sorry.

Managers are from Shionogi, not inVentiv. InVentiv only recruiting so they can hire inexperienced.

Is this pretty much a guaranteed hire there?

Well dam, I just interviewed in Chicago. Don't have GI/pain experience but was told by a recruiter base would be in the 80-85k range.

The other 2 candidates for my territory both canceled and didn't make it to Chicago so I won't hear anything till the interview them but if its true that they are currently shopping Symproic I'm staying away

Has anyone heard an update on the Syneos positions for Symproic? Are they really shopping the medication?
Anyone willing to share what they are getting or hearing about the offers- salary wise. Please respond if you know. Don't care to hear insulting comments. Thanks!

Yes, they are looking to sell it or partner with someone else. Heard quite a few have left already. Both good companies. Was told pay is maxed at 85k.

Have they sold Symproic and Mulpleta? I heard from a good source that Shionogi is trying to unload both and that there wasn't much chance the buyers were going to keep the salesforce.

Yep, everyone was let go on the Symproic team back in early April. Not sure about the Mulpleta team but I'm sure they will be next at some point once they sell that too. Shionogi is going to hire a direct sales force as a Hospital team to sell their antibiotic.
