The douche chills I got from reading this makes me 100% certain some service rep with less than 3 years experience wrote it.

You may not know it now, but tenured guys love standing in the room across from someone like you.

He probably thinks it’s “cool” to not care about patient outcomes.

As a “tenured” rep, working across from the deputy rep has made me an extra 50k over last 3 years on revisions alone. Let them deny this is happening. More money for us and our surgeons can market revision Surgury locally as Attune failure commercials are non stop these days.... I love denial as it paid for my truck!

    2 more came out today.

Single 1/4" osteotome to simply pry it off the top of the tibia.

Zero cement on the underside of the bp. Also, pitting on both sides of the poly insert.

Both implanted in 2015. What a disaster this knee system is.

The latest out of Zurich Switzerland-one page paper authored by Thomas Guggi, Nils Horn, Stefan Preiss, Laurent Harder. Shultess Clinic

Signs of possible Early Loosening of Femoral Component in Attune CR Knee

March 2013-September 2015(454) 34 knees(7.5%)were identified showing radiolucencies of 2mm or more along the femoral shield & posterior condyles

Partner clinics not seeing same phenomenon with Attune PS design

Following patients closely and reporting all follow-up to manufacturer

What is next for this knee?

Just like they did with ASR?

At least they didn’t use asbestos in the design...or did they?

June was a new record month for Attune "loss of failure to bond" right?

I can't decide whether thats the lawyers work paying off (though Im not sure patients would go though a major surgery just to maybe get some comp) or whether more and more are coming out.

Its pretty steady in my territory and my guys are happy with S+

Your one of the lucky ones then as docs in my area have had S+ loosenings too.

I don't think its the plate. I think it must be the bearing.

Shut up you idiot. S+ hasn’t been out long enough to make any clinical comment

You are an idiot. There is no way this is true.

S+ has been out long enough for there to have been loosenings, thats for sure.

Just as well the product name can't be searched on MAUDE as it doesn't allow characters like +

    Phew.

72 pages worth of shit about this knee on this site. Maybe all bullshit.
The Company is spending a lot of money now promoting the ‘success’ of this Knee direct to consumer. At what point do you just admit that you have a disastrous product and move on? I don’t know a single Depuy sales rep in my major marketplace that is promoting the fixed bearing version of this system.

There are several territories in NC that are still selling Sigma and it isn't because of pricing...

Depuy loyal docs in my territory won't use the Attune, still using Sigma... I wonder why?o_O

That is an interesting paper but if there was a problem with thick chrome cobalt trays we would know about it from the Australian and British registers and they show LCS and Sigma looking pretty good next to Nexgen with its titanium ones, so that probably isn't the problem.

It has to be gradius or the use of that dumb mb stem on a fb tray and of course no ability to a stem for all those years. If you have the Attune revision tray, you are OK. Just get them to use the stem on anyone with BMI more than 30 (and more $$$ too)
