Congratulations to those who worked on the approval and hopefully the drug will help our patients.

But just behind helping patients is being part of a company that ‘does the right thing’, meaning it treats its people well, it has a positive culture where people want to come to work and do well, and among other things, conducts itself with integrity.

And that’s where Sun completely falls apart. Not my style to say this, but even in our BU, it’s horrible. Just horrible. This place is demeaning and demoralizing, and there’s about 3 people who are capable of putting on a decent game face walking in the door. Everyone is just miserable. Even new hires.

Before you go there, I have my reasons for having stayed, for the short term. But my life and well being is priceless and the days of this business are numbered.

Interviews have already been going on. Had one last Tuesday. They are hoping to have everyone ready to go by the first week of Oct for launch. At least that's what I'm told.

    Hey dummy-

The dry eye space is all generics now that Restasis is cooked. This will be big money since not only this market is busting demographically with older patients but competition should make these drugs more affordable and better insurance coverage. Easy sale with a drug that has better efficacy than Restasis, earlier onset, and greater drug bioavailability due to proprietary deliver vehicle. Will rock anything out there generic.

Gotta love the enthusiasm of anyone who believes they can ‘rock anything out there generic’. Your former job before this dump was probably as a sand salesman on the beach.

You go big fella - you go on and knock yourself out. That generic space is where I want to make my career-mark. Oh, and especially at Sun. Yeah, right.

No doubt you are a loser that couldn’t cut it. I’m sure you were fired. I’ve never worked at a better place 17 years in Pharma. Huge salary and huge bonuses. Go away loser troll

Thankfully I’m in a great place.

And I’ll call BS on ‘huge’ salary and ‘huge’ bonus, no way. I know the numbers.

Sun is a low-tier company that hires rejects. That, my friend, can be quantified - look at where people have been before Sun. Either they got fired from big Pharma, or, they never got in.

Really? So, could someone that works at Sun tell me what the typical base salary is? Typical bonus (not target bonus)?

With 5-10 years experience, you’re looking at low 80s, with variability in bonus, but think along the lines of 20-25k.

I have ONE year pharma sales experience, and my salary is in the low 80’s, with my bonus 40-60k. My older coworkers with more experience all have salaries ranging 110-130. Dont listen to the morons on here. Sun is good.

In my interview I was told bonus is $30K at plan. Base salaries will be around $75K. The words right out of the Regional Sales managers mouth. Apparently some candidate was asked what his salary expectation was and he/she said $150K base and was told he wouldnt get anywhere near that.

Do they provide a car or monthly allowance for these Ophthalmic opportunities Anybody know?

Regardless of the comp, be it 75k or 150k, you have to ask: is this the kind of people I’d like to work with/for?

They will lie to your face about the opportunities, and they are just straight-up unethical across the board.

    Your call.

My integrity is worth a whole lot more.

Would you provide examples as to why the company is so terrible? I had interest in coming onboard.

In all seriousness, I’d suggest you read the threads on CP, surprisingly, they’re accurate.

Except for a single-digit number comments attempting prop up the reputation or employee satisfaction. Funny thing is, in some of them, the tonality/grammar is so much that of Indians up in the home office that it’s laughable.

Just look at the number of people who resigned in the past year. That should tell you what you need to know.
