Only if you like doing the workload of 5 people.

I worked for Baxter a couple of years and don't even dare to have it in my resume. I agree that it's a company not high on ethics. "Do as a I say, not as I do"

I really don't know what happened to Baxter. I worked for them for over 10 years and they were great in the beginning, but the last few years just went downhill. If you are a young MBA with the right "diversity" profile and you just want experience and don't mind a rather mean environment, you could do it for a couple years and then move on - but, only if you really need a job right now.

the answer is no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Upper management here is a fucking joke. They hire arrogant snobs who refuse to listen to the manufacturing techs that have been doing the job for years. they cut so many corners its pathetic. If you have a MBA and don't mind blaming everyone else for your short comings when you don't hit production goals (another joke) then yes Baxter LA is for you!!!

Not if you are are ethical and competent. Success at Baxter is all about telling management what they want to hear. They hire people for positions based on politics - people that are completely unqualified for the job at any level are running departments at Baxter.

Baxter's critical managers/leaders have little/no biotech/pharma-specific experience or understanding so they believe anything they are told. This is especially true in quality assurance and compliance and the the powerful black belt program which has nothing do to with GMP. What FDA expects is a joke. All priorities are on cutting corners (lean manufacturing) to make more money in the short term, earning Baxter repeat warning letters and 483s. They don't have a clue. The same problems that caused the consent decree still exist in all the divisions and are no closer to being fixed.

Forget this "intellectual honesty" and power up stuff, it's just talk... Leadership is still behaving the same way. They expect 'everyone else' to change, not them.

Oh my god, truer words were never said! Just look BioScience. You left out 2 other critical success factors; harrass and torment underlings as much as possible.

It looks like med del and bioscience reps all feel the same about incompetent management. Hard to understand how the "leaders" can broadcast how well the division is doing when the sales reps are all under budget and making far less than last year?
Anyone making any money besides the under performers of past years with no budget?
So much for their talk of paying the top performers!
You just have to learn how the system works. If you are a salesperson you will never be fulfilled at Baxter. If you want to make a career of minimal pay for little effort, this is a good place. Just remember to suck up to the unqualified management as they do not understand the business, nor how to motivate a real sales force!

    ASDs that are useless.
RMs that are neutered by ASDs.
    RSSs that do nothing.
TBMs, wel, you are the bottom-feeders. You either have the contract or you don't.

Take a look at the ASDs and RMs, there are what 4 women and one brother. From what I see the rates (RMs) are jumping ship in the East. Leaving, going to IDN roles, or getting fired.

BBS is a shit hole place to work.

*If I knew how to decipher the stacked rankings maybe I would be in a better frame of mind!

You will ONLY be rewarded if you are part of the group. Has nothing to do with work ethic. You can just go through the motions without productivity and be at the top if you are one of the chosen.

Find a different company. Seriously, this place has turned into a shit hole of rejects from various other companies around the local area.
