There is certainly a culture there where they'll punish you if your not wanted or someone wants a, "Friend" in that place. Solvay legacy manager's are the most incompetent of all here. They promote people who can't sell their way out of a paper bag but, can sure play politics. Gonzalez just let's it happen because they company is investigating itself. Of course they're not going to find any issues. I've never fudged my taxes either. Without Humira, this company would be out of business. Nepotism - Oh yea. How do you hire someone out of college for a Humira position? Guess why? Daddy

If you didn't work at Abbott, forget about a HQ job. Place does not value outside perspectives and people at AbbVie are generally threatened by competent people who come in with new ideas/fresh perspectives.

Huh???? A good part of our leadership is non-Abbott. Mike Severino, Tom Hudson (new head of Discovery), Rob Scott, Henry Gosebruch, Erik Von Borcke.... Maybe think a bit before making such a broad statement.

Your delusional! And obviously one of those young guns that wants it all now. It doesn't work that way my friend. Many are jealous of the CEO's success with his perceived lack of formal education. Believe me, he has many, many years of valuable experience that isn't accomplished in just a few years. Work at Abbvie for 30-35 years, then let me know how satisfied with your retirement benefits. Until then, just get back to work!!!

But But But But...He LIED many times and is untrustworthy in the eyes of peers and also Wall Street.
I doubt you ever worked here so your point is moot "my friend"

You obviously have limited line of sight into our company. 8/10 of leaders at the top are Abbott (including EVB which makes me think you don't even work at AbbVie - anyone knows he used to work as a commercial leader for Carlos). Only Severino and Gosebruch are outsiders. This company has a cultural problem of insular thinking and group think that may be being addressed by bringing in new blood in pockets of the company (R%D) but C-Suite, commercial and corporate functions are still dominated by Abbott legacy people who don't want to hear fresh perspectives.

My last Solvay legacy DM only promoted women because he was scared of a repeat of the Jeremy Didier law suit...

Just check out the rate your company on cafe pharma. Abbvie has gotten the lowest ratings , and every comment about the company has been bad.

You summed up AbbVie. A bunch of 9-5ers with no independent thoughts who care more about getting home to Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, Deerfield or LIbertyville by 5:30 for dinner than achieving anything meaningful at work. Humira on the home stretch, layoffs on the horizon, and good luck finding anything in this industry with AbbVie on your resume. The company's reputation is not good.

Hey most reps work 2pm m-f. Nice 30 hour week. Abbvie has great benefits, salary, plan bonus and generous 401K match. The managers are laid back and no micro. Abbvie employees are sought after in Pharma. Everybody knows they are Abbott Labs “lite” They’re Pulling in $2500/week for 30 hr week
The haters on here are jealous and clueless.

That's $83.30 an Hour. I was pulling in $337K not including options laddie. Then i left c suite on bad terms which led to seven figure additional severance on top of 401k and vested options. How SWEET it is !!!!!!!!
Rick just donated $100M to Ronald Mcdonald House in Houston Finally a good thing Ricks done. The tax write off will defer it, but at least the folks in need will get $$

    Summary

AbbVie shares have fallen nearly 25% over recent months, due to a wave of negative sentiment.

Even so, AbbVie is one of the world's fastest growing biotech companies and the downturn isn't supported by its strong and improving fundamentals.

AbbVie has numerous short and long-term growth catalysts that should drive strong sales, cash flow and dividend growth for the next decade.

From today's price AbbVie is likely to be one of the best performing income investments of the next decade (about 700% total return potential).

As always, there are risks investors need to consider before investing in the stock.
