[QUOTE="anonymous, post: 6101100"Perhaps the biggest lie is the term "working mom". I have yet to see a mother with children between the ages of 1 and 15 actually put in an honest days work on a consistent basis. Spare me the comments. If the truth hurts...you are obviously lying about your work ethic. Yet, we continue to promote women purely based on gender.
So here we are..again. More layoffs because management refuses to listen. Refuses to behave ethically. Refuses to do the right thing.[/QUOTE]

I’m sure your mom is proud of you.

And to the asshole male who dissed working women. I raised a man after his dad left us when he was 12 doing this job. He has nothing but utmost respect for me and women. You are a jerk with no compassion

Ok, so I initially agreed with some of what you stated until I reached your point #4. You should be ashamed of your ignorant, arrogant and condescending behavior. If I had to guess, you are just some old loser who recently was a low performer, given a package to leave and is packing your wife's lunch kissing her off to work in the morning. Sometimes the truth hurts prick. Good riddens, this company doesn't need any additional damaging baggage. Go away.

Wow, this conversation just got heated! Let's just take a step back and ask ourselves the following question(s) and answer honestly. Leave out the " I raised my son after his father left crap" or I'll go Kenny Rogers on your a$$! Oh what the hell.."I've had some bad times, lived through some sad times, But this time your hurting won't heal, You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille. Four hungry children and a crop in the field..."ahh you get the point. Women have been leaving men for centuries. Old Kenny Rogers was busting his a$$ providing for his family but his old lady wanted a few laughs so she left him hanging with hungry kids and field that needed tending to. We all have our crap do deal with regardless of gender. Maybe your spouse left you or there was an illness or you found yourself in a situation you never anticipated...the fact is ...THE FACT IS..."working moms" in general do not work as hard at the office than working dads. Do women do more to help with issues surrounding the family? Hell yes! But they short change the company at almost every step. So, back to the question(s) I was going to ask? Which gender uses more sick days in a given year? No excuses. Just answer the question. Second question. Which gender leaves the field early more often to handle "family matters"? It's a documented fact by the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, working women use more sick time and disability than their male counterparts. And you know damn well that it's even worse at gsk. It's not my fault if your husband can't pull his weight around the house. Let's try this. Next time you have to run to pick junior up from school because he has a runny nose, stop. Reflect on this conversation and ask your "working daddy / husband" to do it. Let's see how that goes. We all know how that goes. I'm just giving a little straight talk..isnt that what gsk said we should do?

Bottom line should look at performance whether working mom or not. Too bad the company didn’t reward based on results and performance. I have one of the highest market shares in the country and may be laid off because of a flawed rating system. Best of luck to everyone if they use flawed criteria on any upcoming layoff

    Let’s all calm down

    1. Working women aren’t the issue, not sure why this is even a suggested fault. Considering both male and female can have kids, not sure why women would be the issue? There isn’t one.

    2. The poster that highlighted the office not listening is correct. The culture is FAKE, top to bottom of lies and having heads in the sand. The access for example is the biggest, no one address the elephant in the room.

    3. The structure and strategy has been awful for several years. Pull up your old emails of the sales flavor of the week strategies we all were subjected to that had no positive results. Not to mention we literally face our own reps for access for years now. This has been a mess all around!!!!

It is much more likely the Nucala and Benlysta teams will combine to form a Biologics business unit.

    ViiV taking big cuts.

3 down to 2 in hi volume geo. 3 down to 1.5 meaning an overlay. Remember the company went from 100 to over 150 reps last year but sales not up. Access is too poor for 4 calls by 3 reps.

You really have to wonder why the major stockholders of this company continue to put up with this....low stock prices, continued poor management of the entire company...

    2) stupidity

Does anyone know if the package includes estimated bonus pay during the time frame the severance covers(ie 26 weeks would represent half of annual bonus...let's say 12,000 of 25,000) or is it just based on BASE pay?

My understanding is you get bonus earned by your region

Well they put Emma there for a reason. She wants to change direction of the company and not sure our sales force plays much of a role there. Just read Forbes article about her new hire in San Francisco coming in to run immunology etc. She honestly looks like an AI bot in the photo- not really even human!!
I now know I don’t matter to GSK no matter what I do. Think others are figuring that out as well

Just spoke to my fll. Word on the street is that layoffs are coming. Those with exceptional performance may be offered a other roles, but not necessarily in the same territory or even state.

What about medical? Or is only commercial in jeopardy?

Can you elaborate? We know layoffs coming. Any clue to percentage to be let go?Territories shift constantly but the moving state thing is a new concept!!Heard of Pfizer doing that in years past to get people to leave without package. If Gsk to do that then I plan to opt out of HEAR. Think everyone should.!

Time frame please....do they not understand that many are going to be out there actively seeking another job? Or do they not care? Good luck to everyone who wants and needs their jobs. In my district every rep with GSK has many years with this company and most want to continue. GSK senior management needs to make an announcement sooner rather than later. This is not good for the company nor is it good for morale. There are very few who will be giving their best effort until this situation is resolved!
