What a joke this place is!

Have you ever wanted to be delittled, sabotaged, run over like a freight train? Well, you are in the right place if you answered yes. Small Dick Sean and Essex are like a horrible nightmare you can’t wake up from. They think they are going to change this place and make it great again! This isn’t the Presential Election Morons! Let’s get a new device to promote every quarter, while we can’t even grow the Shit we have! Brilliant idea from some not so brilliant A-Swipes! If you would like to have your balls busted, no help with any contact questions, your integrity questioned daily, conference calls weekly to discuss the same crap that isn’t obtainable anyways, your family begging you to quit, your mind f’ed because some small dick management thinks they can control you; well then you are in the right place. Enjoy the ride and humiliation, while trying to do the right things. THINK TWICE before joining this hell hole.

Can you please provide the definition of "delittled"? Also, I find it comical that reps complain about "a new device to promote every quarter". You'd also complain if there were no new products. So what makes you happy?

So now you see what happens when people get drunk and post something idiotic. The leadership you were trying to call out gets to call you an idiot... not at all predictable right?

Do us a favor- if you’re going to post something on here, make it specific and half-intelligent so that people know why they should steer clear, instead of chalking up your comments to being drunk, disgruntled, and stupid.

    This might help:
    1. They fire you for failing to grow your business, when the category they are asking you to grow is in decline. They send emails about accountability. I wonder when they’ll be held accountable for what they’ve done to GYN. Congratulations on your first month of double-digit decline! The trend is going the wrong way fellas...

    2. They hired yes-man managers that do not have your back. If they find out you are struggling, or unhappy, they tell on you, and then fire you. They do not coach you.

    3. There is no one above the TM level that knows anything about the science of our products, or gynecology, with maybe 3 exceptions... wait hold on, now 2. So even if they wanted to coach you, they are unqualified.

    4. They are hiring managers that have never held the bag or managed people before. They passed the test though, so that’s awesome.

    5. They are hiring directors that have barely ever managed reps, and have no corporate relationships, or KOL relationships.

    6. The market is in decline, and the new products they’ve been promising are either weak or non-existent.

    7. I’ve never seen so many reps leave a company so fast. I have been in the company not that long and everyone I trained with is gone, and my whole team is looking or quitting. They will say it’s on purpose. They managed them out. Good one.

    8. They have done 1-thru 7 at other companies before HOLX.

Their time is almost up. I would steer clear of here until they are gone. It will be fun to rebuild this division (if that’s even an option when these guys are finally canned), so I would come in after that is done.

Great post. BTW, I'm poster #2 who asked for the definition of "delittled". I was clearly being sarcastic with that but not sarcastic about the complaining of new products every quarter. Your post helps clarify.

I am ex-HOLX, didn't work in this division but am very familiar with it, and and think you hit the nail on the head. Especially #7. That is happening across the entire company. Certain people in HR roles say the turnover rate a few years ago was "unhealthy" - because it was so low. You know- back in the days when Hologic was crushing expectations and the stock was starting to soar...and the reps knew what they were talking about, accounts trusted them, etc. Now I'm sure they feel the turnover rate is "healthy" and they're getting the right people in to sell because they pass a personality test. Yet look at the performance. I love how SM blames turnover in the Cynosure division as the reason for needing time to turn that business around but no one correlates that high turnover is negatively impacting the other divisions as well.

Can't wait to read the earnings transcript next Tuesday. Some of the analysts are growing a bit more aggressive in their questioning. There are a few questions I'd love to hear come up on the call about the GYN division...

Amen to that. SM is gonna have to cut bait with his surgical boys. Because I don’t think he’s going to have the answers to those questions. His usual go to- “we finally have the team in place and now we are ready to get back to growth”... doesn’t match the trend.... the decline is accelerating, and the team is absolutely not in place. There is no team here.

If Q4 doesn’t bring a miracle for surgical, it might be time for SM to finally make the right choice, before the investors make things very uncomfortable for him.

The other thread on here that I follow that could become very interesting is the whole thing about the study being manipulated. That came up on the last call and SM voiced a very confident answer that nothing was out of place. If he finds out that isn't the case, you will see surgical leadership and anyone else whose finger prints are on that study gone in the blink of an eye. He put his reputation on the line - and don't forget - with EC gone there is no buffer between division presidents and SM. So SM would catch a lot of heat for not knowing the details better since these are his direct reports. Man oh man that would get nasty in a hurry.

Things look very hunky dory on LinkedIn when you see the pics of the GYN leadership. I just don't think that's the case and agree with you that if things aren't turned around this fiscal year (2 months left!) you'll see changes made.

I look at Hologic as a whole and I wonder how they are still hitting the numbers projected to Wall Street- but I have felt this way for roughly 2-3 years so clearly I've been wrong consistently(!!) Most of the business units just seem to be relatively stale in mature markets with very little/no significant product development or disruption in spaces. I understand the mantra of "singles and doubles" vs. "homeruns" but I'm not sure there's much happening other than singles and some strike-outs. One of these days I think I'll be right - last quarter was a miss but the stock is right back to where it was, if not higher. They may sell the company before things get too bleak.

You seem to have a good head on your shoulders so I'm sure things will work out well for you - whether that's with Hologic or somewhere else. Hard to find many intelligent posts on CP sometimes and have enjoyed your perspective.

It is hard to grow a business that already maintains such a large chunk of the market share. Now factor in that one particular type of procedure is in decline along with the overall pressure on pricing. It is difficult to identify the growth opportunity within this space as it is rather limited. We may have old products, but they do work. To capture any real growth though we do need newer products and not just another line extension.

Agree with these posts. Oddly the surgical business unit isn't as bad as the diagnostic business unit. As for Hologic being a Women's Healthcare Company, why so many men? Seeing surgical executives holding signs about wearing white pants is odd, not sympathetic. Reps should consider their credibility as the company won't have your back and looking to HR for help is like giving them a shovel to dig your grave.
