One of the reps in my district is calling on his wife that is a physician in the territory. Management is fully aware of this and they still have her as one of his targets. She is one of the biggest writers in the district. This seems like a conflict of interest to me. Is this even legal?

    You sound jealous.

Who wouldn't use that as an opportunity to get scripts? Conflict of interest yes, illegal? No.
Only illegal if the physician is writing scripts for people who dont need it. But I highly doubt that.

I had a coworker whose best friend was a doc. So he wrote all his patients that fit with that script. And the doc was happy with it. Shit happens, deal with it.

Everything is a conflict of interest when it comes to pharma - nothing is ethical.

1st of all, he married well. Secondly, I'm a nurse, my wife is a nurse...and part of the nurse underground. I use all my connections for scripts. However, first and foremost my medication needs to be for the appropriate patient.
