Thanks for sharing your perspective—it makes sense with what I saw at the event as far as managers not knowing much about the infusion process. So, coming from Oncology, do you feel like the 60 hour infusion will be a problem? Do oncology patients ever have that long of an infusion? If they don’t get FDA to allow in home infusion, I would be concerned about this. Especially with it being an adjunct therapy. Your thoughts?

Which event were you at? Did you interview for TBS or KAM?

I took my plan with me. They didn't blink about it but they also have never sold to ob/gyns.

Yes. Unfortunately, the 60 hour infusion will be a huge hurdle. In addition, there will be many hurdles that must be jumped before a patient will even have access to this therapy. Plain and simple...this is not an ideal situation.

i interviewed. I thought the experience was great. I haven't received an offer yet, but am having reservations about accepting. After hearing about an RD conducting themselves unprofessionally towards a friend has really jaded me.

What happened? One of the RDs was a bit of an Ass where I was as well. So, curious about the experience and which event you were at. No offer here yet either and a bit apprehensive as well.

I'd appreciate some details as to what your friend experienced. I'm in the same boat. Interview went well and I felt good about things. But these things are always tough because none of us wants to make a bad decision. I wonder how much of the negative comments are legitimate, how many are from people trying to lessen their competition and scare people off, and how many were cut loose and are bitter and venting. I also don't know if there is one single company on CP who doesn't get blasted regularly on the boards. So, I try to filter out the nonsense with good information. And, specialty jobs are tough. I don't know one that isn't challenging. If they weren't they wouldn't pay so we'll and the companies would not care about experience, past success, or relationships. But again, any details as to what happened with your friend would be appreciated. Best of luck.

It wasn't anything sexual. But he definitely was unprofessional. I'd rather not get into specifics because I wouldn't be surprised if he and other RDs were on CF. I'm definitely not disgruntled or am trying to weed anyone out. I have a job and this wouldn't be the first time I didn't receive a job offer and it won't be the first time I did receive an offer after interviewing. Rejection is a part of life and keeps you motivated. If anything, Im thinking of weeding myself out. If I don't accept an offer, I will ultimately make it possible for someone else to get the job.

My interview went very well. I definitely know about some things that were unethical and shows a lack of character by one of the RDs. Obviously other people have made there own observations, which is why there is commentary about their interview experience.

Please use your own judgement and base your decision on your own experience.

I definitely got the feeling some of the RDs were running away from something. Mine trashed their old company during the interview. I don't think it is a big deal but it does make me think that this may not be what i thought it was

Your friend may be disgruntled. Did they interview this week?

First off, I’m sorry that you or a friend had a bad experience interviewing. That stinks. I have strong opinions about the RD level as I feel that they are a superfluous layer. I generally feel that first line managers are closer to the sales level and remember what it feels like to hold the bag. RDs are much closer to the corporate fire and are much less likely to have/make a connection at the sales/rep level. That is a diplomatic way of saying that I think they are drunk on power and completely disconnected. Was the RD ultimately going to be your RD? Do you feel confident that the RBD is going to have your back and shield you from the typical RD shit rain? I may be naïve and hopeful but I believe that your first line manager is going to be the one that makes or breaks this experience

They have no reason to be disgruntled. They accepted a job offer from another company two weeks ago. They didn't even care about interviewing. I heard the recordings and the hiring manager (RD) doesn't have clean hands.

I wouldn't want to work for or with someone that has major character flaws.

I gotcha. The immediate manager I interviewed with seemed good. Nothing amazing but not a wacko or moron. I was really excited about this opportunity. Company seemed progressive, a startup, interesting drug and a better pipeline. But I tell you, CF can really bring you back to earth in a hurry. I've got a couple other really good opportunities going but nothing final. Don't know how or if they'll time out with this one. Don't want to be kicking myself if I get/take this opportunity and it turns out to be a dumpster fire or kick myself for getting cold feet and watching this thing turn into a monster.

Its a startup so of course there is going to be a risk. That being said ANYWHERE you choose to go or stay is a substantial risk. That’s our industry. I think the upside with Sage is significant. They have a pipeline, it’s their own developed products, the stock is strong and is projected to grow, you will gain experience in buy and bill and infusion of you don’t have it. And what if you can outperform the bonus plan. And what if 217 works the way they envision. Unlimited PTO. Nice car. Decent salary. Great benefits.
A lot of what ifs but it could be a cool place to be
