I enjoyed 12 successful years with two pharmaceutical companies before a major injury accident caused temporary disability. It has been 6 years since I last worked, but I am ready to jump back in. How difficult is it going to be to get hired with a lapse in employment? Can anyone recommend a headhunter? Obviously, the job market is more digital than it was in 2003 when I last looked for a job. How do I find openings?

When I had a 1.5 year lapse, I found that Linked In was the best...I was able to come back with Syneos Health, and have been very impressed by them. Good Luck

    Indeed linkedin medreps

It will be difficult but if you get a sympathetic manager then it might help. Don't use headhunters; they are extinct. Apply for job postings on the boards above or directly on the company website.

First I would try your most recent employer if you had a good track record before your accident. Best of luck!

Keep applying to everything you see in your area, reach out to recruiters, and don't rule out contract- syneos, quintiles, et al.
