Almost all reps' titles have the word "manager" in them.

Most in Biosim saw the handwriting on the wall early 2018 and have offers in hand or viable leads. We’ve been posting about layoffs since last year. No one listened.

    Anyway...
Timing of events will be key. Pfizer will always take the low road.

Disagree. Eliquis in the bag and share of voice contract with BMS hedges against big losses.

Your hatred for IS is noted though. :)

Well good news is that I&I isn’t being touched and this is a FACT. Derm has strongest pipeline out of all divisions and Eucrisa is doing well. PCP however will be impacted unfortunately.

    I heard the same thing.

Really? Source? Or just guessing. Eucrisa is not doing well btw. All we hear is gotta meet the number and we ain’t. If you don’t have a source don’t go on logic. Logic wouldn’t have hired twice as many reps as needed for Derm salesforce

If you take the "buyout" there is no stated severance package. The current package offers little to those who have met the rule of 90, better for those approaching a potential retirement. Merck did offer a 2 week/year worked severance package....that would have been a nice add in for those who helped the company get where it is.

Though will have to wait and see what is explained on web ex.

True. The VERP doesn’t exactly help those who are near their 90. Better to wait for severance package and hope you get it.

Yes I don't see many taking the package. Maybe those with spouses who still make bank?

The lower you are on salary, the better off you will be. Once the cuts are made and the dust settles, openings will be announced and you can interview for it.
Why you’d want to is beyond me, but many were reemployed by Pfizer after every layoff.

This is typically how it works: sometime in. Nov or Dec your manager will assign each of your team members a time slot. That time slot usually happens before the holidays and everyone gets assigned a time slot for the same day. The managers go thru the same thing the day before- finding out the fate of their jobs. You wait by the phone for your time slot, and then your manager calls you and tells you if you have a job going forward or not. If you do not, they will read to you from an HR/Legal approved script. This begins your 60-day WARN period, before you are officially separated from the company and your severance kicks in. During this time you can post and interview for any Pfizer job openings.

so is everyone thinking before the holidays? Makes sense to include the week between Xmas and new year into the warn period. No one is going to work that week anyways
