I know of at least 8 reps let go last week because they lived in the wrong place. Absurd. So now they’re going to hire a bunch of young, inexperienced and low salary people. Not the way to treat people. Be warned.

So they are basically making the Salesforce a contract group by hiring at bottom dollar? What about the reps with six figure incomes that have been around for awhile?

Some reps have to interview against current teammates and compete for one job. All people still have to interview but some have no one to compete against. However that doesn’t mean they’re a shoe in. I bet salary is a big deciding factor. They’ve said when they do go external- they will have lower salaries. So a lot of reps who are over 100k or close—- I think it’s bad bad bad news.

Yep eventually everyone will be replaced with some fresh out of college newbie that is willing to do anything for 50 K. Those of us who is experience aren’t willing to be treated like pawns

Exactly. Reps with high bases are being pushed out. They're suddenly geographically ineligible. Or remember that coaching email you received? Well, my friend, that wasn't the harmless, friendly email we told you it was. Surprise! You're actually on a PIP. Congrats! We didn't want to tell you until we determined you should be ineligible to reapply for a position. Effing joke!

Existing, effective regionals somehow did not get hired back. Shitty ones have been retained. Many good ones are gone or leaving. Promises have been broken and we have been essentially lied to for the last year or so. Tom brought some really great GSK tactics with him. He has destroyed the Circassia culture and turned us into shitty contract pharma.

Oh, and let's not forget the HIGHLY ILLEGAL threat of not receiving severance if call and sample metrics are not met this month. Let me repeat that this is ILLEGAL, Tom. A simple call to a lawyer will tell you that.

Severance isn’t tied to sampling, but q4 bonus is. But if you’re not retained you don’t get that anyway.

Just some thoughts here. What do you think? What is the salary range of people who will be kept? How many people will not be rehired for their territory? Are we thinking 50%... can a company afford to let go most of their experienced reps? What is the cost to hire and train a rep? Nothing says Happy Thanksgiving like a lay-off.

the goal is to successfully launch Duaklir. I don’t know what the chances of success are when launching a dual agent in a world of triple combinations but the company needs reps who will deliver on metrics.

Warning was posted in August and here we are in October. Resignations continued and now a re-org and layoffs before the holidays. Remember, companies do what is best for investors and not what is best for employees.

That’s why these “interviews” are pretty much BS. They already know who they want to keep and who they want to replace so whatever you say in the interview really doesn’t matter.

Yes representatives are being threatened with their severance being denied if call and sample metrics are not met. No guidance as to whether that means metrics have to be 100% or if there is a gray area in order to receive severance. Been through a few layoffs and have never seen a situation so demoralizing.

no guidance? How can you be expected to meet criteria if you don’t know how you’re being measured? This should have been spelled out by now

I don’t think this company could fight their way out of a paper bag much less launch a drug in a super crowded market. Add on a bunch of millennial sales reps with zero experience and grab the popcorn.
