Agree, you were probably smart to do the silent layoff. Those of us who are waiting to hear our fate are feeling the stress everyday. The announcements can't happen soon enough. This is horribly non-productive. At this point there are so many of us who simply don't care anymore that it is sad. I hope and pray that whatever happens will work out for the best for everyone!

Can you believer that managers will only have an average of 9 reps???? Nothing has really changed around here! That means field rides will continue every 3-4 weeks!!! What are they thinking?? My manager has nothing to do but send out those stupid voice mails and have conference calls every other week and do field rides to fill his calendar and make himself look good for his boss who will probably not be around anyway! No clue as to how disruptive it is for to have to constantly change our schedule just so a ride can accommodate them! Ridiculous!

No additions have been added like in the past when you volunteered for severence if that’s what you mean. Think 10 years ago it was extra 10% and years added that could get you to retiree medical. No those days are gone here.

Some of us just want out of here and are volunteering to leave.Been here many years and never dreamed I would experience the kind of insanity which marketing and management has us doing now! Luckily in a spot to be able to go but think those who stay would be smart to look for other opportunities -anything better than this.

The reason managers ride with reps is; 1. Most representatives sample drop, 2. They don’t put in a full days work or they haven’t been working. Just look at their sales.

In addition some representatives are really incompetent. They think they’re smart but most are blunt tools just going through the motion to collect a paycheck.

If you want to make a difference be smart enough to talk with a provider in a way that shows them that you know what you are talking about.

Selling on personality is delusional and a waste of having purposeful and meaningful dialogue to help the patient.

Medicine is about the patient not YOU! Grow up, quit complaining and go to work.

Looks like Gsk hired the corporate troll again to demoralize the sales force! You were gone a while. What happened?? Things got too truthful here at cafepharma??

LOL. Sounds to me like managers don’t know how to screen for talent if all of these slack asses are employed. After all, the sales reps had to interview multiple times with multiple DM’s for a job, right? What does that say about the competence of the DM’s (you)?
So, if DM’s (you) can’t screen for talent then why would you think a DM (you) can effectively coach.... or even sell for that matter? You probably haven’t sold in the field in 10 plus years and I am willing to bet that you can’t do it effectively.

Huh?? All I know is that we no longer operate out of RTP. We took the SKB site along with their horrific culture. The horse we are on is about ready to be retired...and not to stud..we are being sent to be turned into dog food. Andrew Witty completely F'd up this company! You watch, we will be bought out or sold off in pieces. Hell of a run but what a shame that a company of this size with such a long history will go down in shame.
