We all movrd over to circassia and started as device reps... now we're back in the pharma world and peddling an old COPD drug that 4 other companies couldn't get off the ground.

Does anybody have any optimistic views of where this company is headed?

    time will tell...

hopefully niox gets into more guidelines and every hospital gets a device.

Tudorza will become a combo soon so there will be lots of work to do for the launch.

Tudorza and NIox Vero device are not exactly great together

Probably expect layoffs in the next year or two.

    Niox poor reimbursement
Tudorza no Medicare coverage 0.0075% market share
    poor leadership
DM's who are yes men (atlas mine) a clueless typical Pharma guy kiss up to the boss
I am actively looking and will leave as soon as I get a descent offer

My DM (C) is not an effective manager-a clone in the east of the Mississippi
trying to tell me how to sell an outdated product and a mediocre device at best with below average coverage and reimbursement that does not even cover the cost
and he says I need to do a better job? he sells nothing when he's in the field with me
the company will be gone soon

How did this place go down the tubes so quickly? It seems like just a year ago we had Direction and purpose. Now I find myself praying for a layoff!

I just lost my job. Is this place worth it if I need a short term paycheck?

Anyplace could be worth it if you have a family to feed. Your applications will receive more consideration if you are employed. I just interviewed and the two managers were shocked that I am out of work. They have no understanding of the current job market.

This company does not understand the COPD landscape or anything about forecasting and establishing quotas. It certainly doesn’t understand how to lead and train reps.

Yep. I'm not with Circassia, but here's my story: took me a year to get back into the industry after being laid off last year. I've got 15 years industry experience - specialty rep, account management, etc. Another new guy on my team with same story. He was in managed markets for over a decade. RAM positions being eliminated all over the industry now in favor of NAM's (Insurance companies ridding themselves of regional accounts and just going national). Even with RAM experience, won't hire unless you have NAM experience. The guy is now back to being a rep and his compensation is way down, but he's happy to have a job after spending most of the year unemployed. Reality is the industry is shrinking and losing more jobs every year than it adds. It's only going to be more difficult to hang on in this industry in the years ahead. Pharma rep jobs are well-paid Temp jobs now.

All I know is the absolutely worst manager (and person) in the country works for this company. He has the typical poor performer track record of a new company every 2-3 years after senior mgt learns this guy alienates everyone, back stabs anyone to make himself look good, thinks he's gods gift to all. John Dickey - yep check him out on linked in...
