Have an opportunity to interview for the imaging division. From the sounds of it, it’s the place to be in Hologic? The first year earnings mentioned were very attractive $260-275 at plan with a lot of tenured reps consistently over 300. Is this realistic and how is this division to work for?
Unsure of the pay, but wouldn’t be surprised if that is directionally accurate. Highly recommend it. Strongest division and market leader with the best technology.
It's going to be highly dependent on your territory. You are only paid on shipment - so think of the cadence needed for units to be shipping out the door for you to have a steady stream of commission (mammo units often require a couple of months lead time to get the rooms ready, drawings provided, etc). There is still money to be made in this division for sure- and I would replace your use of the word "tenured" with "successful" reps - and they're certainly making $300k and up. Just know it's going to be VERY dependent on your individual territory...
interesting, right now as I understand it the capital reps handle all the mammo units and imaging. While the diagnostic handles disposables, but also prone affirm and trident. Are you saying there will be 1 rep doing all of this now?
Yes that's what I'm saying. They are merging the Account Manager (mammo units and imaging products) and Interventional Account Manager (biopsy needles and Affirm) positions to have a single rep sell all of those products. This is a first for Hologic and I'm interested to see how it plays out. Two very different skill and mindsets.
Which TerritoryRegion? Is that potential "earnings" or "at plan"? Can someone explain why GYN division is red flagged, but this dept is considered golden?
The post says "at plan"...so I think you've answered your own question (and I don't understand what the difference is between "potential earnings" or "at plan." But that's a different story. Do your research on this board on the GYN division and their products and compare that to the breast health division and you'll understand. Breast health is far from perfect, but it certainly seems better than surgical.
My interpretation was... Potential Earnings = Top reps make X At Plan = Salary + Expected annual bonus
Can someone help me to understand the various positions at Hologic? Are the following roles the same position or different jobs? Breast Imaging, Breast Capital, Breast Surgical. If different, how do they compare? thank you
How do you think the recent acquisition of Supersonic will fit in? (ie: will the capital reps carry it?, will they be a separate rep/division?, will any SS employees be retained?)
Pretty much push imaging and just throw in biopsy and beg them to use localizer or bully them. Standard Hologic operating procedure, shit products and bundle or leverage to win. The field reps are terrible and can’t sell.
