Employment Verification...

    Comments and Thoughts: I've heard several different versions of what Pharma companies can and will offer for companies or 3rd parties conducting background / employee verification checks. Some companies now will only offer dates of employment and title due to potential defamation lawsuits. I was also told by a HR exec that companies are more concerned with criminal and credit histories than full employment verification. Some larger companies will only offer dates and the department, such as " Field Sales". Any comments or views?

    States have their own laws, in California they cannot ask your salary history only what salary range you would like or target yearly income with bonus. Also they cannot ask whether you have been arrested that was effective as of January 2018, Also there is new laws being rolled out for 2019 people should get acquainted with your state laws. Consumer Credit report is always a start, then they usually call your past companies 7 years back and verify college degree via transcripts.
