Don’t join this division!! The culture is AWFUL. Political and vindictave. Stay away or leave while you can if in the field.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm staying Housekeeping night shift where it's safe, quiet, and the workload is steady.

No one refers to it as “Abbott”

It’s St Jude. Who is the highest paid “speaker” at Neuro St Jude?

Over $500k of the payments to Dr. Deer in 2016 were in the form of stock options...issued a few months prior to Abbott’s acquisition of St. Jude. 200% legit.

They are losing quite a fee strong leaders in hq and the field. If Q3 sales are soft, expect an accelerated exodus.

Was contacted today about a TM role. Recruiter talk was $80k base with most clearing $250k. Is that smoke or legit? New to the neuro side.

If they hire me I’ll be smoking pole at Abbott park. What are the male reps like? I prefer man on man anal with brown reps. What’s the ratio and is the company car big enough to give blo jobs?
    Thanks

Was told they do $200k plus guarantees in this division for first year. Top reps are close to a million. How accurate is this? I thought the days of that kinda money were long gone no matter the division or company.

The Abbott Neuromodulation division just reported 2.3% growth for Q3 2018 over the past year. Abysmal for the neuromodulation market! Expect whatever salaries you were quoted to dwindle very quickly - if they are not going to freeze hiring... Boston Scientific and Nevro might be better options at this point - maybe why a lot of Abbott talent went over there over the past couple of quarters. The CEO said they have "commercial execution problems that will not be solved overnight" on the earnings call this morning. Translation: they have no idea what is wrong and how to fix it.

Was contacted by a recruiter for a TM1 role. Promised $90-120k. What is the day-to-day like and what kind of hours do I need to expect? Also, would I be on call? Trying to weigh my options on whether or not I should take the offer and leave my current job

Go to sjm.com/notices: DBS lead recall. if you read it carefully, it says that some patients will need to have their BRAIN leads explanted. Not good for a product that's barely been on the market for two years... Not even mentioning the fact that the entire US marketing team left, with some going to Nevro. The abysmal growth rate mentioned in an earlier comment might last more than a quarter...
