If you're not friends with the manager, or if you have more experience/ knowledge than the manager, you probably don't have a shot. Unfortunately, that's the culture here at AZ. And our directors spew on and on about " preserving the culture". And they all hired their friends as well.

Is Cardio Renal already pulling back on their plans for the salesforce? I heard some final interviews were cancelled for next week.

This sounds exactly what went on in late-2013 when BMS/AZ first created the Diabetes Specialty group, aka, ESS. Todd Snook brought over his friends who became the CBDs. These clowns brought with them their ineffective District Managers who also took their favorite reps with them, who were guaranteed to ass-kiss and snitch. Yes, my friends, history repeats itself.

Sadly that happens. In this case the manager was a ZS rollover and the candidate knew the manager and was an excellent candidate, Wonder what happened? Candidate was given a very generic response and was surprised by it.I guess my question was if they are already eliminating some territories they planned to fill. I guess the saving grace is taking an offer and then having the job eliminated after waiting a month to start would be worse.

Hoping, make that praying, for a label change. If they can’t fix it, not too many reps needed.

I haven’t been following closely, but is this something that has been recently recognized as a bigger problem than previously anticipated?

I am also still waiting to hear. When did they tell you to expect a decision. It’s been radio silence??

Offers were supposed to be made by Dec 1st for the Jan 2nd start date per a manager but you never know, companies have changes and delays all the time.

Are there territories that they had initially planned on rolling out but will now not be filling? I had a final and was hoping for an offer as well.

I also had a final that went well and was told they would let me know before Thanksgiving—I’ve heard nothing.

Is the position you interviewed for still posted on their career site?

For some clarity, there has been absolutely no positions that were posted and not being filled now. That is complete nonsense. The original timeline of before Thanksgiving has been held up just due to sheer amount of paperwork and finalization of offers and the holiday squeeze. All vacancies are being filled. the renal division is going to be the strongest division in the company. Actually it will be a driving force for this company over the next 3 to 4 years + especially with the launch of roxadustat. The Renal division is why AZ stock has climbed to over 40$.

I interviewed and am waiting as well. I was told that the last week in November or 1st week of December offers will be going out. I am at renal specialty company now that has a crashing stock, and my agent is not going to have any access and coverage next year., and I’m really hoping I can land this position at AZ. Seems like a very rocksolid division in our industry, very strong pipeline and from my research AZ is looking to buy even more companies with renal agents on top of Lokelma and the HIF roxadustat. The leadership in this Renal division Are all from biotech start ups etc. and they’re really great people from what I understand from my research and talking to many people. They seemed to be as I went through the interview process as well. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Just curious when you sent a thank you email did you even get a reply? I felt my interview when very well but the silence is uneasy.

I did send a thank you email and I did not get a reply. I think most hiring managers don’t need even look at that stuff anymore. It is an uneasy feeling, I hate waiting too. Just so hard when you’re actually excited about a position ans the products that you could be selling. My interview was the first time actually interviewed with a hiring manager that I truly like ,that was super cool and I want to work for. That’s a good feeling.
