When you leave Mannkind, you are told by the HR department that if the company is contacted by a prospective employeer, Mannkind will only verify employment and will not discuss the reason that you left the company. Mannkind will even provide you with a letter stating this. Well guess what? It's just another lie from a company that just can't seem to stop lying to its employees, stock holders and wall street! Mannkind is telling companies that contact them to to verify employment that your employment was terminated due to poor performance. This is being communicated whether you were unjustly fired or left the company on your own. If you know someone that has left the company for any reason, reach out to them and let them know. Just one more thing to be proud of with Mannkind!

    You are joking, right?

    Why did you leave?

This company seems good, overall. I am buying the stock because I think it can turn around as the insulin product improves sales, and if they can get a co promote going with another company.

    Anyway, good luck to you.

Unbelievable but is anyone really surprised? Just another black eye for the company.

Um, this can open them up to lots of issues HR wise. Especially since they're based in CA. f you're being honest, fire off a letter to the state labor board

I would agree with everyone else. Regardless of the State that you live in or the reason that you are no longer with the company, you should send a letter to your State Labor Board. Most companies have a strict policy of only providing confirmation of employment only. There could be some real legal ramifications for the company if the HR department is being inconsistent with the information they are providing.

A former employer can say anything they want about an employee, but it has to be truthful. Most lawsuits arise from pissing matches about what is "for cause" and the surrounding circumstances, so that is why most companies have resorted to verification of last title and tenure.

I do a lot of hiring and when a good employee is let go for whatever reason, there is generally somebody willing to say some nice things about them. If all a company will give is last title and employment dates that is sort of a red flag, and doubly so if that comes from a former manager or colleague.

The issue is not of a good employee being let go but rather a good employee that has left the company on their own. Everyone knows of the two former employees in question who both learned from their recruiters that the Mannkind HR department stated that each was let go due to poor performance. This was an out right lie and the example of our company being vengeful and unprofessional. It has become a total embarrassment to work for this company.
