Nobody underlined a damn thing. And who said you were a manager? Did you get bucket carrying stooge confused with manager? That would be the first accurate thing you’ve said.

How is that even legal? This isn’t a bonus, it’s part of our salary. And if we quit tomorrow, they’d have to cash the whole thing out. Typical allergan.

Where did I say I'm a manager? Where did I state I'm in sales? You assume way too much. This policy covers the entire company: not just prima donna reps like yourself. You do know that we have several sales reps who are in " one territory: one rep" positions- Botox, hospital, etc... maybe you should learn more about your company and realize it's not all about your little corner. A lot of us in this organization who aren't field based are appreciative of the new PTO policy for myriad reasons, but based on your comments you could probably care less about what anyone else thinks.

Bottom line...if you have a manager that is a controlling a-hole (my entire region/area is full of them under SB) that questions every single day that you take off, you can always throw back to them (with the old system), that PTO has been earned so can be used. This new system puts complete control into their hands. It's like handing over the a nuclear weapons button to Kim Jong Un...

I believe there are some major changes happening in the near future and this is a way for them to reduce costs. This company, in the last few years, has not been on the side of the employee.

There is never a decision made by AGN that is in the reps best interest. They simply don’t care. To think any different-the jokes on you.

The purpose of this new PTO policy is to prevent people from building huge amounts of PTO and cashing it out when there is a layoff (or when you wise up and leave). After 2020, you will not be able to take your PTO with you since you technically don't have any to carry. This helps Allergan get out of paying PTO in states (like California) where they require it be paid upon termination or layoff. Saves Allergan a few extra $$ to stay afloat. To all that thinks this is a good plan, think again.

Just take PTO and stop whining. Never understood people that get burnt out on their job throughout the year but never take time off.
Think Allergan is screwing you? Really? Just plan on taking off 3-4 weeks every year. Vacation, stay home, long weekends. It will do you some good and you won'y feel like the company is screwing you over.

You opened my eyes. I thought unlimited PTO sounded too good to be true. You are right on point. I will take less time being concerned about perception. Thank you sincerely.

A rep in my state was denied a vacation that she had planned and requested before the new policy. Family vaca with flights and hotels, etc. Denial was based on performance with a certain product. It happens.

i call bullshit- my numbers suck ( I'm the only rep in my territory) and my boss hasn't questioned me at all about taking PTO- maybe your friend has a lousy DM but so far so good on our side

Someone asked the question and I replied with what a PCR rep experienced in our state. On top of PTO being at the manager’s discretion, no 2 reps in any footprint can be out of the field on the same day. Even if it’s a holiday. It is bullshit, but it’s completely true.
