The question is, when will they close up shop at Actelion's South San Francisco office and send everyone to NB and lay off the people who won't relocate?

No one knows what J&J is going to do.

What everyone knows is what they aren't going to do. They aren't going to do anything that they promised.

They said, "we want to keep the Actelion culture." They lied. They've gutted our benefits and given us unachievable sales goals.

Along with that, they will never put the patient first.

    Profit is #1.
    And #2
    And #3

50% turnover in the last year at a company that never had more than 5% turnover. Ever.

Sales goal attainment in 2018 was by far the lowest attainment in company history. We will have award winners that were below 100% attainment.

They'll eventually turn Actelion into what every other division at J&J is- a mediocre, average, nothing special place. A group of people just going through the motions, collecting below average pay while trying to stay off the radar until they are eligible for retirement.

Sounds like a great place to work!!

I can attest to the fact that they have gutted benefits. Medical alone is shocking...$2400 a year (family) for a high deductible HSA eligible plan. That is utter nonsense.

People outside of sales are also heading for the exits. I've seen a bunch of directors and senior directors leave. JnJ has not replaced most of the positions. I'd be surprised if Actelion lasts much longer in SSF. My guess is that they won't be able to hit their targets for 2-3 years, then JnJ will come to gut the place even more and layoff/move people to the east coast.

Completely unachievable goals since J&J came in. Most reps are playing golf every day b/c there is ZERO chance of making their goal.

Now they're bringing in the micromanagement with reach & frequency bullshit. J&J leadership has absolutely no clue how the rare disease market works.

    The massive turnover will continue.

Sadly, it is the patients that will lose in the end. A sales force full of newbies will leave them hanging out to dry. Not because they want to but because they'll be checking call boxes while taking years to understand the disease, the customers & the market.

Jack is done. The rest of the RBD’s are puppets. A great company and culture has been ruined. Way to go J&J. Oh wait, I got my payout.

so leave and quit complaining on here, dude - be proactive and take responsibility for getting a better job with what you think is a better company. You probably complain about your wife and kids too.

DM’s and RBD’s never made a decision when we were Actelion . Just bs that they were fighting for you.

I'm interviewing with a couple of rare disease companies. JNJ has made it clear that they do not intend to pay any bonus dollars going forward.

The goals are completely unachievable. No one is working right now. We're all looking for another job.

They keep talking about the "credo" and amazing retirement plan that replaced our amazing pay & benefits.

We don't give a shit. If we can't pay our bills after the 10% pay cut we took with downgrade in benefits & the elimination of realistic sales goals- we'll move out & up with other companies.

Buy you wait a few years and dump you off on a 3rd party. Those "great" benefits they gave you and kept you at a lower pay because of will be gone. Then what. Low pay and not so great benefits. Go Credo.

GO already. A lot of high achieving performancers are out of work and would like your job.

Sorry bro- any "high-achiever" will have competing offers. There are contract jobs available with better benefits & higher commission than what JNJ offers.

If you're coming up from primary care- this is a great place to get your 2 years of rare disease experience before moving out & up.

If you have rare disease experience- you would NEVER take this job with JNJ. Far better offers will cross your desk.

Serge is a talentless ass clown that could care less if he has 100% turnover. That's why JNJ brought him in. He doesn't give a shit if we all quit. He will keep cutting payouts until we're all gone. Then they'll bring in primary care reps at 60% of what they pay us.

Of course, hundreds of patients will die during the transition but that's not Serge's problem.

He has the compassion of a Nazi. He'll do what he's told & collect his money. Won't give a rat's ass about the patients that go untreated during 75% turnover. It is not his problem.

Thank God we have the Credo!!

So true. Basically laughed off the question yesterday. Obviously gave managers a retention since none of them have left. That’s likely to change. No, he’s going to be content with Janssen reps taking over with low salaries. The Credo emails and Yammers are an automatic trash bin click

As are the leadership blogs and emails. They all say nothing but the vanilla spew that all of leadership rehearses at home in front of the mirror.
