Gender equality at NNI

The bottom line is this. The best person should be hired into any position. We are in the situation we are because the wrong people were put into positions based on race, color, sex, etc. etc. etc. we did it so much that when you multiple the bad hires by lost business we now continue to downsize. Playing favorites has no place in the corporate world because it destroys companies. I say we hire without knowing the name of the candidate or what the person looks like. Hire the person who interviews the best. No place for affirmative action of any kind in the corporate world if you want to remain highly profitable in a very competitive market. Hire the best candidate.

Red, purple, black, white, if you are the most qualified person for the job then you should not get the job. Unfortunately people at Novo rely on the "Who you blow, not what you know" method of promotion. That needs to stop. If you are the best candidate and happen to be black, female, gay, you should get the job. If you came in second then you shouldn't get the job. Unfortunately this is where gender, race, sex etc proponents beat their drums and say well I was a close 2nd so I should get the job. NOPE YOU FINISHED 2nd.

By virtue of the fact that we have an employee referral system, we continued to recycle cast-offs from other companies, and move number 1 was to let go of some NNI folk to make room for their friends from their former company. That is affirmative action, called "networking for white men".

Look at all of the former JnJ clowns we have now. See how the 1st one brought in his JnJ buddy, and then THAT guy brought in a bunch of ex-JnJers? Affirmative action, my friends.

Ive been here since 2009, and can say that we NEVER hired the best here. Ever. We hired hook-ups, cast-offs and cronies from other companies. Talk to your friends at one of the big biotechs and ask how they I.D. and assess and develop potential managers. Ok, compare that to how AAJ swept the tri state area cliean and brought in Eye-talian men from other companies. I never heard anyone call any of them the best.

I'm not a Trump fan at all, and I didn't vote for him (or Hillary) in the last election. I'm a conservative, and did not have any candidates who represented my beliefs, so I voted for the Libertarian candidate for no other reason than he wasn't Trump or Hillary. That being said, you have to quit painting people with broad brushes that fit your rhetoric. Trump supporters come in all shapes and sizes - men, women, black, white, gay, straight, etc. As long as you act like it's impossible to separate Trump supporters and racists, then you're just as much of the problem as anyone else is. The collectivism argument is getting old and tired.

 

You're right. 4% of black people voted for him, so therefore, Trump is a multicultural icon.
