By not announcing the number of people being quietly downsized- nobody outside of Senior Leadership or HR knows the exact numbers. This helps prevent a mass exodus- they want to cut us when it’s most beneficial to them- which will not coincide when we can easily find other jobs. Don’t count on a nice severance! Everybody needs to be looking right now.
RX and Aesthics have both seen different areas cut. At least one Area was outsourced earlier this year. By eliminating head count- it will show lower overhead which makes Galderma easier to sell. And if jobs were outsourced- those contracts are easy to end with an “out clause” that states in the event of a sale- the contract will only be valid for a few months after the m&a takes place. It is even sadder when VPs get additional bonus for cutting headcount. They are stepping over dollars to save short term pennies. Have a Happy Holiday Season- and make sure your resume is updated!
Hey Marketing team, we didn’t get hired to sell skincare. It’s embarrassing at this point to sell this way over and over again. Yawn.
Unfortunately - the person cut in marketing was not the manager- she needs to go. She also falsified job titles on her LinkedIn profile. She’s smart enough to know that the titles cannot be verified.
