    Layoffs are coming! Respiratory and CV still can’t perform, diabetes is flat. Nothing reay same ol same ol!

    Just got my upgraded status and finished another year in respiratory with another diamond in my ring. Number 5
    Some of us actually put the whip in reverse and go out and sell. No changes on my line except a 5.0% pay raise come March

    BI is their own worst enemy. My time there was bearable. Problem is they don’t pay anything close to what everyone else does. By far the cheapest Pharma company I have ever worked for and I have been around. If you guys do have layoffs some of you will be pleasantly surprised when you land your next Pharma job.

    They killed 3rd and 4th quarter sales with terrible leadership. Whomever is in charge of IC should be fired. Putting market share in specific insurance plans, which means being judged on RXs, when we are paid on net sales is BS. It killed the spirit of the sales force because they realized that net sales was just a way to not pay them the bonuses they deserved, just like indexing. No one in diabetes has made any money in the last 2 years except Germany. Next year is going to be the same. The reps that start losing bonus over market share will leave. Mass exodus from the rep side, not layoffs. I know 5 reps right now in one region that are just waiting for their bonus and are going to launch the new diabetes drug.

    Respiratory is a joke. You can go to PC at 80% to goal. CV has no idea how to sell Pradaxa or Jardiance, yet they get credit for the dirt diabetes is selling. Breo is flying off of the shelf in PC offices. A respiratory company screwed up the best thing they had going. Too little too late. They have the lowest rep spend budget of any company and at a time of two launches!

    They need new leadership here. Someone who doesn't work at this company in a recycled job. They can't pay talent so no one will come from the outside. Let's throw so much differing strategies in one quarter to reps that they just throw up their hands and take vacation for the rest of the year after the POA.

    Next year is going to be worse because people realize they could grow 50% each quarter and they will just figure out how to take the money away so you don't get paid. This is a PC company that has a specialty drug and they are going to lose all of the momentum because the brand team sucks, upper leadership doesn't lead and then blames the salesforce when the numbers don't appear. Whoever put these huge goals in the 4th quarter to crush the sales force spirit should be sent back to the field at another company.

    Oh and by the way, make sure those LPE assessments get done and be put on a plan so the DMs can get rid of those they don't like. Everyone knows that the only people that will be put on a plan will be the ones that push back to upper management. Nice...and let's ditch the CEM next year!! I bet they don't even look at those assessments. My wife can't believe I stay, but I'm hoping it turns around. The kids need braces.

    Amen! Through Q3, only 20% of Resp at 100% of IC. Gotta love the “Sorta” incentive updates. Cute. Really cute. Did they bring Kelly Dupree back or something?

    Just save every penny, because companies like BI (and pharmaceutical companies) will gladly kick you and and replace you with a new set of young drones that they can pay half the money and work twice as hard.

    Not being negative here, just telling you the truth.

    Advice: don't pay down debt. Just build up a nice nest egg (100k in cash if you are single, 200k if you have a family), and then you can invest from there. Because they don't give a shit about you or your family. Also, get an advanced degree, on their dime, if you can.

    BI is STILL “selling” in pods? Good to see that the wanna-be pharma is still holding true to form. I retired 6 years ago and they were the idiots on the block then. Some things never change!
