Hearing rumors about VERP 2

Anyone else hearing this? I can't believe they would cut so soon. I know they want all the old wood out. This just seems too soon.

 

Yes I heard a couple rumors today about verp2 being announced at CEO connect.

 

I hope this is true. I F'ed up and didn't take the last one. No place for a white Male.

 

You may get your chance. They will decrease benefits and cut as many as they can quickly now.

 

Relax. There will not be another VERP.

 

Correct. Only the standard severance package will be used during the next reduction.

 

And it will be mandatory.

 

Verping is over. The company will focus more on what their business is not. Instead of being a pharmaceutical they will drive toward being another liberal university. They will focus on diversity and inclusion. Diversity and inclusion is homogenization and will become the main corporate message. "The Patient is waiting" is going to be replaced by "Diversity and Inclusion because we care." They will purchase molecules from small shops that do not have D&I missions or goals. Reallocations will continue in the sciences. Expect outsourcing at a faster pace. IT hoping to get to 90 will be SOL. The balance sheet needs to look better to make it a more attractive merger/acquisition target. They will have to cut more employees. Spinning off Elanco will help but that alone will not be enough. Do much more with even much less.

You will not get it. The next cut will just be an across the board reallocation. You will get severance, though.

 

That is correct. The new program is called IERP. Involuntary Early Retirement Program.

Actually, the new name for the program will be, "Ricks Is Canning Your Grandpa".

 

Ricks is hiring 140 positions on indeed.
