my friend owns a company and has a canned response for those he has to fire.

Here's the bottom line, if we are not sold, we will be here for a long time!!! They cannot afford to give up the revenue produced by this division. Think about it! How long have a talked about getting rid of IS/hospital reps? They can't see their customers, provide no real value and surely do not contribute to bottom line.
